The Republican Party must be very anxious to make an impression on American voters, considering that their candidates have already opened the campaign season. Therefore they chose the person who most truly represents who they are to gibe the Republican Response to Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address.
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) will deliver the GOP response to President Barack Obama’s 2015 State of the Union address on Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced at the House and Senate GOP retreat in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
"Sen. Ernst brings a unique perspective to the Senate. She is a mother, a soldier and an independent leader who serves in Washington because Americans voted for change in the last election, and Joni understands that middle-class Americans want Congress to get back to work and that they want Washington to get refocused on their concerns, instead of those of the political class,” McConnell said in a statement Thursday.
Ernst was elected to the Senate in November, becoming the first woman elected to federal office from Iowa. She said she’s "truly honored" to deliver the GOP address.
House Speaker John Boehner praised Ernst after the announcement Thursday…

Given the past history of the Pubes' rejoinders to Obama's stellar SOTU speeches, I'm guessing the bar is now set so low for her that she may actually get over it. But just to refresh your memory of past performances:
2009 – Gov. Piyush ("Bobby") Jindal's awkward snooze-fest that even right-wingers said was awful
2010 – Gov. Bob McDonnell – really not a bad job … but now he's a convicted felon for corruption
2011 – Michele Bachmann got to deliver the Teabaggers rejoinder – remember her moronic vacant stare off into space?
2013 – Marco Rubio – his "thirst" for power just couldn't be "quenched". If he were ever elected president, they'd have to build an entire storeroom to stock his need for Evian water
So if Ernst stays true to herself, we'll all be hearing about those FEMA Camps, the UN's Agenda 21, Death Panels, those WMDs that she believes were in Iraq, etc. (Just stock up on your popcorn for the evening)

I'm sorry, but due to Jodi Ernst's own campaign video – all I think about when I see her is (by her own boast) Jodi castrating pigs – and it seems quite possibly without using any form of painkiller (since she talks about them squealing), which seems unnecessarily cruel. Does she like to hurt animals and people? – well it might seem that way from her campaign video and from her political positions on so many things – and it makes her utterly repellent to me.

Once upon a time the person selected was considered the leader of the party not in office–selection seems as opposite as possible from the serious, respectful choice.
Makes me wonder whether this is retaliation for her joining No Labels, a group supposedly committed to bipartisanship and:
Create 25 million new jobs over the next 10 years
Secure Medicare and Social Security for the next 75 years
Balance the federal budget by 2030
Make America energy secure by 2024

I disagree with Bob Schrum. I think she will open her mouth and say anything she wants. I don't think the GOP will be abe to put a leash on her. Shee owes nothing to them. All she has she owes to the Kochs.

Let us all hope that ammosexual "pig-nuts" Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) flubs up and "squeals" her counter GOP/TP response (attack) to the Obama's State of the Union address. Do I think she will "squeal"? Will Joni help castrate the GOP/TP hierarchy? I certainly hope so.
The GOP/TP leadership no longer have the courage to offer a counter speech anymore. Guess they are coward clowns of the first order. Maybe they have been castrated already as they are "squealing" to the public of their true colors, racism and hatreds in destroying USA.
Although I fail to understand how she got elected, I think she might just be the GOP's way of sayng "see, women can't do this job" because they know they cannot control what she says. If her past record follows her we should hear something outrageous in her rebuttal.
I can see why the Republicanus/Teabaggers might have Joni Pig Nuts respond to the PresidentsSOTU address — her seat in the Senate is secure for the next 6 years! No matter how badly she does, she's not going anywhere. It also gives the Republicanus side an opportunity to show off the Teabagger stupidity.
