The counter is still increasing, but it’s on the other computer. Yesterday was wonderfully productive, but completely exhausting. I return home today.

Entrance – As JL (Care2) says, rather non intimidating. No perimeter fence? Or was this taken inside it? And wow – windows! No windows here. I haven't seen every prison in the state, but my impression is that multiple stories are also rare, and only in the older buildings. And one newer "Re-entry" facility.
Productive is often synonymous with exhausting. You may not feel the exhaustion whilr actually bein productive, but the second you move away from it, wipeout. (That's the generic "you" BTW.)

Nice and clean photo of the prison entrance. Surprised that the prison allowed, let you take a photo of it. What kind of camera were you using?
I was allowed to take pictures of the entrance to San Quentin when I was out in California.
I, too, think it's quite a handsome building. Has sort of an Art Deco feel to it – at least the actual entryway does.
I agree Nameless. Definitely art deco. Actually a very nice looking building, or at least the entrance is attractive.

As others have noted, this is a handsome structure. I hope you get home safely and GET SOME REST before you start doing your research again.
Thanks all. The entrance is a facade that goes through the prison wall, which you can't see in the pic. In the top left corner of the pic, you can see the wire that tops the wall. What makes it intimidation is that there is no disability entrance. with every visit, we have to carry the walker up those steps.
OK, that would be intimidating. I have not encountered a prison in Colorado (yet) with stairs and no ramp. The one with a ramp, the ramp is steep enough that I have to go up it backward so as not to fall on my head, but that is common outside the prison system anywhere there is a ramp. People who design ramps seem to have no concept of center of gravity. It looks like they could take out the stairs on one side and put in a ramp but it would have to have at least two zigs and two zags, maybe more. Don't worry, I promise not to hold my breath waiting.
Add prisons to another government entity that don't have to meet the ADA regulations.
