Koch Sucking ObamaCare

Thanks to the Citizens United decision by the Fascist Five Injustices of SCROTUS (Republican Constitutional VD), the Koch Brothers are already hard at work trying to buy as many seats as they can in the 2014 election for their 1% Teabagger lackeys.  How?  They are Koch Sucking ObamaCare!

0127kochsuckersOnly a few weeks into this midterm election year, the right-wing political zeppelin is fully inflated with secret cash and is firing malicious falsehoods at supporters of health care reform.

As Carl Hulse of The Times reported recently, Democrats have been staggered by a $20 million advertising blitz produced by Americans for Prosperity, the conservative advocacy group organized and financed by the Koch brothers, billionaire industrialists. The ads take aim at House and Senate candidates for re-election who have supported the health law, and blame them for the hyped-up problems with the law’s rollout that now seem to be the sole plank in this year’s Republican platform.

In one typical example, the group’s ad against Representative Gary Peters of Michigan, a Democrat who is running for an open Senate seat, is full of distortions and lies. It accuses Mr. Peters of lying when he said the law bars cancellations of insurance policies. Mr. Peters happened to be right, as millions of people who once faced losing all insurance after they got sick now appreciate. The 225,000 Michigan residents who the ad said received “cancellation notices” were actually told that they could change to a better policy; they were not told they could no longer have insurance, as the ad implies. And though the ad said health care costs are “skyrocketing,” national spending on health care is now growing at the slowest pace ever recorded, in part because of the reform law.

Democrats intend to counter this campaign with the facts, but few of the candidates have the money to do so now. As a result, the campaign is taking a serious political toll, increasing the chances that Republicans who support a repeal of the law will win back the Senate majority this fall… [emphasis added]

Here’s that Republican ad. BARF BAG ALERT!!

Let’s not forget that the policies that were cancelled fell into two categories. The first is a Big Insurance scam to move people to more expensive policies, while falsely blaming ObamaCare. The second is policies that are illegal under ObamaCare, because they were already a Big Insurance scam.

This ad blitz makes it that much more important that all of us vote and campaign to get our non-Republican friends and family to vote, without helping the Kochs by wasting those votes on candidates who cannot win.

  1. In 2012, the Koch brothers spent millions on useless teahadist candidates who lost elections.  They put millions on Mittens as well.  Their money doesn't mean an automatic win anymore.  So, I am all for them putting back some of the money they have stolen from us (via corporate welfare) back into the economy.

Spend a billion, guys.  You'll still lose because your candidates are all insane and insanely stupid.

  2. I hope and pray that Americans don't forget all the times the RepublicanTs and Teabaggers hurt them with their votes in Washington. As long as their memories last longer than the disparaging TV ads against Democrats, we will win. Americans need to vote Democrat so they don't hurt themselves.

  3. You must be feeling better, TC. You put on your boxing gloves and came out fighting mad.

Since 5 million have signed and many are younger people but too old to be covered by their parents insurance, Obama-care is gaining moment and not going to be stopped by Koch lies.  Some hospital's have opted out, the don't like having limits on how much they can screw the patients.  Their are limits to the outrageous charges doctors and hospitals can gouge the patients. That was one of the biggest problems of the cost of healthcare. This was one of many reasons some were trying to keep a second home in Canada or Mexico, to keep health care affordable.

There was a new poll (Gallup) shows:

A new Gallup poll shows that the percentage of Americans who identify as Republicans has dropped to a 25-year low of just 25 percent.
The percentage who identify as Democrats has stayed constant at 31 percent.
Gallup wrote: “Americans’ increasing shift to independent status has come more at the expense of the Republican Party than the Democratic Party.”

This drop comes as House Republicans continue to focus solely on their base and ignore bipartisan enthusiasm from voters who want commonsense steps to strengthen the middle class, like raising the minimum wage and extending unemployment insurance.

This could mean we will see more Independents running for and winning state and Federal office. That could clean things up and help neuter the Koch's and their ilk.  Change comes more slowly to the US than other countries, but right now people are angry and they should be angry.

Eric Holder needs to get busy squashing these anti-voter state laws aimed at women and minorities.  Voting is a right and not privilege granted to the few, the upper middle class and wealthy.  These people that have passed anti-voting laws are terrified of the power of the woman and minorities, and well they should be.

    Glad you are back TC!

  4. I've never liked the term "Kochsuckers" since what it sounds like is a perfectly respectable and pleasing activity.  I call them Kochroaches.

  5. Just to keep the record straight, Teabaggers have NO right to complain about that name.  After all, it was the one THEY CHOSE:

  6. "Naturally, Democrats are using the campaign to increase their own fund-raising, begging donors to give unlimited amounts to left-leaning super PACs and advocacy groups. But it is unlikely that they will be able to match the resources or the cunning of the Kochs, who are using vast pools of money earned through corporate revenues to build a network unrivaled in complexity and secrecy."   I will have to hope and pray that the Democrats come through and pay for advertising to defeat these liars – anyone is better than a Teabagger!

  7. Everyone here is the voice of reason, but what the Kochs are gambling on is neither reason nor unreason.  They are gambling that Democrats, liberals, and progressives will not bother to vote in a non-Presidential election year.  And history is on their side.  "Americans need to vote Democrat" – more to the point, Americans need to VOTE.  Period.  And we who know this need to work to GET. OUT. THE. VOTE.  Whether that means helping people get ID, or calling them, or giving them rides to polling places.  Whatever it takes.

  8. I have sent more messages back on e mail and FAcebook this year than any year since I started both of them.   The reason, forwards of lies being told about the Affordable Care Act.  I sat for two hours a night for five nights reading the bill that was sent to the House, while Sarah Palin was wailing about death panels.  I copied and pasted and sent the info to my friends that discredited the lies.  Too many people believe what ever they read or hear and don't research it.  I hope every one remembers who shutdown the government, who denied unemployment extensions, who took money away from the programs that feed the hungrey.. If they do, it won't matter how much the Koch brothers spend.

  9. Thanks everyone.

Infidel, thing of a bald bankster sucking Kochcaine through a rolled up $10,000 bill.

While the Koch Brothers spending has seemed inefficient, that has only been with Presidential and Senate candidates.  In the House, Statehouses, and state legislatures, they have hurt us severely.  To think they won't learn from past mistakes would be very foolish for us to do.

  10. Here’s that Republican ad. BARF BAG ALERT!!

KochSuckers and Tea-Bags work for me…
