Bill Maher is a very funny man. He is ever direct and usually irreverent. Like me, he is sometimes even rude, it thatβs what it takes to make a point most effectively. I love him, even when I donβt like him. Enjoy! π
From this Friday evening’s New Rules segment, Bill Maher had some suggestions for "super-rich" liberals about what to do to combat the likes of the "Koch brother from another mother" who has turned North Carolina into wingnut landβ¦

He sure pegged North Carolina! The TEAbuggery has run rampant there! He also pegged how Republicans took control there. Art Pope bought the state for them.
Of course that’s why I call it the Totalitarian Fascist Plutocracy of McCrorystan. When Maher goes to Alaska, I hope he has a run in with Blood-libel Barbie, aka Brill Baby Dingbat, aka Mooseolini.

As usual, Bill Maher is spot on and hilarious while reporting the "New Rules".
Not always un-offensive, but always funny, I like Bill Maher's irreverence (especially liked the birth control comment). Sad to see North Carolina fall so far – the only positive is that so many of these knuckle-draggers are OLD. Here's hoping all that hatred and venom take their toll and soon….
Some of us good guys are OLD too. π
I love Bill Maher!
Amen, Pat!
Very funny as usual, The segment on North Carolina was particularly funny, but also poignant — a clarion call to rich liberals to put their money where their mouths are!
Arielle — "…the only positive is that so many of these knuckle-draggers are OLD." — Perhaps true, but they have the best healthcare their money can buy so have a longer life span.
There was a report from the CMA noted on the CBC that indicates that poverty is a big determinant of health. And if this is a problem in Canada where at least there is universal healthcare, then imagine in the US where 30 million minimum were not covered by healthcare until Obamacare.

If memory serves, it was 47, million. I almost wrot on that article. Glad you did.
What happened to North Carolina? Art Pope, the Koch Brother from another mother… I plan on moving to Oprahoma… π
Inhofcoburnistan?
I likeBill Maher, but am uncomfortable with profanity. He is spot on with his political comments, though. I can't believe NC has fallen the way it has. Citizens United must be overturned.
I don't use it much, because I think there are usually more descriptive words to choose, but whe I do, folks know I mean it.
