Here are the results of our βWho do Republicans represent?β poll. The poll is not statistically valid, because Politics Plus is not demographically matched to the overall US population. In this case, I think most of us got it wrong, myself included.
And here are your comments.

Way WAY too easy!
(But I’d like to chat with anyone who picked "Nobody". Hell, they represent WAY TOO MANY somebodies.)

That was very easy. They represent almost everyone but sane, normal people.

That was not easy for me. There are so many negatives in their base – gun nuts, homophobes, corporate criminals, billionaires, misogynists, bigots, secessionists, and teahadists. How to pick just one? Hmmmmm.

True!

Well that was easy, although, I almost checked nobody, but then that would have excluded all the things I had already checked. They sure don’t represent me, and not just because I am a Canuck!
I voted for Billionaires and Corporate Criminals. I dismissed the obvious choices, because representing someone means to act in their best interest. In most of these categories, Republicans are just pandering to their hate and/or their InsaniTEA to fool them into voting against their own best interests.
I think I was wrong, to include billionaires, because many billionaires support legislation for them to pay their fair share. In my opinion, the only ones Republicans truly represent are corporate criminals, such as the Koch Brothers and Lord Willard, and that includes those billionaires that own the Republican Party.
The new poll is on responsibility for sequester pain.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Pace your remark about some responsible Billionaires, I still think that you could have put 'Everybody' third from bottom (above You and Nobody) and put in a new category fourth from bottom – 'ALL of the above' – I'd have liked that!
They represent themselves which is all of the above.
Welcome Virginia. π
There must have been a few trolls voting here.
Always
While Republican/Teabaggers show their perfidy in using people and have developed it into art form, the people so used must feel that they are being represented sufficiently to show their support. As far as billionaires go, there are many like Warren Buffett and Nick Hannauer that are not represented by the Republican/Teabaggers, I think that more than 50% feel tied to the GOP. I am thankful to the ones that can see sense and beyong their own noses. For those reasons, I ticked everything except "Everybody, You and Nobody".
This is one of those subjects where there is justification for many points of view.
