Yesterday was the first day since the oandemic started that the Metropolitan Opera was able to do a live broadcast over the radio (Last season was all re-runs). It was a new opera, “Eurydice,” which tells (I can’t say re-tells because the story is very far out) the story of Orpheus and Eurydice, set in the 21st century, from the point of view of Eurydice. It’s very accessible (term of art for “easy to listen to, not a lot of dissonance”). Thatt’s a good thing as just following the plot is plenty challenging.

The MI law for terrorism is well designed for enhancement of crimes impacting a lot of people beyond those killed or physically injured and thus applicable for all the other students, families and other community members’ trauma.
I read this morning no one in the family had shown signs of remorse while in custody. The insistence the parents had of him remaining in school and the mother’s text about his search for ammunition are pretty disturbing so I do understand why charges would be filed.
Hope the effort helps Justin’s family’s healing.
The ones I find the worst are those targeting an unrelated issue to what they use to stop debate, progression towards a vote, etc. Such disrespect for the people and the institution and often their oaths of office.
And those in the GOP exhibiting this disrespect and also pushing themselves and Party towards pairs that cancel each other out: Democratic republic vs. Fascist oligarchy (DEM vs. GOP)
NPR: The only thing Jennifer and James Crumbley are sorry for is getting caught. How Republican.
