  1. Jeffrey Clark Violates Congressional Subpoena …

    *sigh*

Ricky Schroder Calls For Chaos On Veteran’s Day

    In case you forgot:

[1] Ricky donated at least $150,000 to help bail killer Rittenhouse out of Kenosha jail

    https://www.tmz.com/2020/11/21/ricky-schroder-helps-get-accused-murderer-kyle-rittenhouse-bail/

[2] Ricky filmed himself harassing a Costco employee when he refused to wear a mask

QUESTION: Do you think those flames reflected in his glasses are from Tiki Torches?

Republicans Who Believe Trump’s Election Lies Are NOT Planning On Sitting Out Midterms

Rats!  The one time I wanted them to follow Dear Leader’s instruction.

    Bonhoeffer‘s Theory of Stupidity

“Never argue with stupid people.  They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”

    Attributed to Mark Twain

The crane that fell for her keeper

Wonderful story & a beautiful bird.

… what Democrats can learn from the election results….

Not so sure I’m in complete agreement w/ Beau on this one.

Like someone in the Comments said, taking liberty w/ FDR: “The only thing the GQP has to offer is fear itself.”

People want results to “kitchen table” issues.  Talk about getting the infrastructure bill passed w/ BIPARTISAN vote.  Get those shovels digging.  Talk about creating jobs.  Talk about working at leveling the playing field.  ETC.

  2. Comment from Mitch

GK: there was some reporting, yesterday, that told of the DOJ trying to be super cautious about the Bannon indictment, knowing that if it were to behalf-baked, they would look very stupid.  I hope that’s what the delay is about, but it does grate.
    RHQ: Rick-a-schmuck!
RU: Manchin, and his corporate handlers, do not give a half of a hoot!
ROF: I do not attend to, or, certainly survey, the Republiholes, but I’ve not heard of any of their big actors, telling their people that the election was not stolen, at this point.
Sprouts:  A moral defect.  Interesting. “It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into.”  OR- “Reasoning will never make a man correct an ill opinion, which by reasoning he never acquired.” Jonathan Swift, “Letter to a young clergyman.” (Jan. 9, 1720)  Bigotry is, IMHO, a moral defect, which seems  to be widely spread among the GQP, and other Trump supporters.  It is certainly part of Trump’s world view.

Walnut: Nice to see this again, thanks.  I was part of a small group of people in my local Audubon group, who monitored Sandhill Cranes, and 5 other endangered
species for a year at a local wildlife preserve, for a year.
I’m the V.P. for Conservation, within this group, and am trying, now, to arrange a joint project involving Florida native plants, that will benefit birds, and butterflies, with a local High School.
Beau: “Moral panic:” as in let’s appeal to their stupidity, that always works!  An energized progressive, not a young one, was screwed over by the DNC, giving us Hillary in ’16.  And the country is paying for that maneuver.
P.S.: I love Janis, saw her live more than I saw anyone else, even Ella Fitzgerald, whom I also love.
    Mitch

  3. RHQ: Who the f&^%$ is Ricky Schroder and who does Ricky Schroder thinks he is?

RU: Well made, but I don’t think Manchin gives a hoot when -or rather, if – he sees this.

ROF: I need to up my dosage of anti-depressants… (joking)

Sprouts: Barely living under the most atrocious circumstances, Bonhoeffer mind was clear and his pen sharp. His theory is a lesson to us all some 80 years later. Sadly he never got the chance to give us some good advice on how to draw the stupid out of their stupor and make them think for themselves again. We could do with some handy tricks right now.
BTW, It saddens me that Bonhoeffer’s theory points out that will not change their minds and will not be taught to think differently by videos like those in this Video Thread. But you knew that already, Joanne. That’s not the reason for posting them, is it?

WP: This looked familiar, but such a goofy story can’t be repeated enough.

    Beau: Interesting, as usual.

  4. Wikipedia: “As a child actor billed as Ricky Schroder he debuted in the film The Champ (1979), for which he became the youngest Golden Globe award recipient, and went on to become a child star on the sitcom Silver Spoons.”  I suspect he thinks he is Ron Howard … whose shoelaces he is not fit to tie.
