Judge Beryl Howell Gives Voice to Our Frustration Regarding DOJ’s Handling of Insurrection Cases
I’d be tickled pink if Judge Howell sat down with AG Garland for a little chat!
Steve Schmidt issues DIRE warning: “The bad guys are winning”
He’s got a point. The GQP just LOVE their culture wars. Because like Mark Twain said:
Jurors, “Have You Ever Listened To The Thom Hartmann Program?”
Jurors in the “Unite the Right” trial in Charlottesville were asked that? I know they allow a good deal of latitude in voir dire, but it seems pretty transparent to me what they were looking for.
Gerrymandering Explained… With Pizza!
Good use of pizza to explain. But now I’m hungry!
Republicans Suddenly Worried That Embracing Conspiracy Theories Could Cost Them
I’d love if that were true, but I have my doubts. Even w/ TFG out of office, there has been NO movement to break ties w/ him. It’s HIS party now.
… Levine, the first 4-star….
Paraphrasing, but I liked Beau’s advice: If you won’t call her Rachel & not sure what to call her – just call her ADMIRAL!
Beauuses softer language with fools than I do, but he still doesn’t exactly suffer them gladly.
Comment from Mitch
GK: Read about the judge’s beef, yesterday, and I’m all in. No one is confused about the “trespassing with disorderliness,” anyone claiming that is simply lying, and anyone believing that, is simply driven by confirmation bias. When I marched on the Pentagon, I was seeking to uphold the
country’s values, not tear the country down. Good for Judge Howell!! Now, let’s see if it makes a difference.
MT: Good points! Take the culture fight to the bastards! Tutu’s point about “better organized,” is focal. Bad guys, especially in our politics, are always more organized, because they are more driven. The GQP knows that it can not win on an even playing field. The Koch Boys have been playing the long game since the ’70’s, and setting up numerous organizations along the way.
TH: Unbelievable! Or, at least once upon a time it would have been,
RU: A good example. Will people respond?
ROF: “Hogwash,” was one of my grandfather’s favorite adjectives. And, it was Dumpness, himself, who encouraged GOP voters to stay home in Georgia!
Can the GQP change that stance? They may not be able to do so, as long as they want to kiss up to Dumpness.
PR: Yes!
Beau: “The title of first female 4 Star is taken by a man?” Becuse Admiral Levine is transgender? because Levine tends to be a surname associated with Jews? Because the writer of the letter is a fool? Here, once again we see the difference between information (supposed information) and knowledge.
Mitch
I had the exact reaction to the Tutu quote. Goodness, but I love that man. Many (many) years ago I saw a Christmas sermon of hiis televised. He based it on a Stevie Wonder song. An Oxford-educated Episcopal bishop preached a Christmas seermon form a Stevie Wonder song. Really. And it was “damn fine.” The song was “I just called to say I love you.”
But back to the comment – ever think that maybe the reason evil is better organized is that organization lends itself better to evil than good? Look at just some of the things the GQP politicians give up to maintain that organization: Truth. Freedom of thought. The ability to serve their constituents. Over 700,000 lives in just the last year and a half. And that just scratches the surface. If we are going to be better organized, we need to figure out how to do it without that kind of sacrifice, or it won’t be worth having.
MT: Schmidt is right
TH: Another iteration of “The bad guys are winning”.
RU: Explained in a way that even a Trumpkin can understand it, and they’re only too happy 86% of people have no actual vote because those are Democrats.
ROF: I sure hope he’s right. Republican strength has always been their voter turnout no matter how insane their candidates were.
GZERO:
Beau: Another example of the systematic dumbing down of America that has taken place for decades by Republicans. Of course, this fabrication of a lie has been put on Twitter by women-transgender-Jew hater Jim Baker.
