I’m all for prosecuting the “party-goers” at the 1/6/21 seditious insurrection riot.
I just hope that AG Garland doesn’t forget to go after the “Hosts”!

Personally, I doubt any of us didn’t believe that almost immediately. (You don’t pull of that YUGE of an insurrection w/out some planning.)
Personally the question has always been: Who? and To what extent?

The main problem we face in dealing w/ TFG’s Trumpkins (whether cowboys or not) was succinctly summarized by Mark Twain:

Beau: “Betrayed, and sold out?” That’s what they were feeling before Dumpy came along to juice them up. So, as Beau is saying, the already radicalized folks are going to find themselves betrayed, once more…but this time by their own chosen leaders. I predict we will see some suicides and some acted out craziness!! Beau’s “bumpy ride.” I am going to expect that his wise advice, to read up, and become engaged in their own communities, will, essentially, fall on deaf ears.

JM: The Jan 6 Committee is doing its thing and referring organisers and inciters of the insurrection to the DOJ. Now, will the DOJ do what needs to be done? Short answer: NO. The fact that it makes the DOJ accessory after the fact doesn’t seem to matter much. I’m starting to get the feeling that DOJ is going to buy Trump and cronies as much time as possible until the midterms in the hope the GQP is back in the saddle in Congress after that.
MT: A very accurate description of Youngkin. And it is exactly why Virginia will vote for him.
LP: Virginians will be voting for Trump by voting for Youngkin. They care about democracy as little as they care about letting COVID go rampant.
AU: For once, Titus couldn’t yell his message loud enough!
PBS: A good word for those members of Congress who were involved in the January 6 insurrection would be pariah, i.e. outcast, which is what should be done to them, were it not that it also means untouchable which seems to be the way the DOJ regards them.
MNSBC: This is the latest rewrite, but does anyone really think it is the last? How long will this degrading of vital bills continue and how long can Democrats remain believable when saying the newest version is a good bill that needs to be passed and then have the GQP torpedo it?
Beau: This was, according to Beau’s standards, a passionate plea to Trumpkins not to let themselves be fooled again by the people they trusted and elected based on that trust only to find out those people were only in it for their personal gain. But the people who need to hear this plea, won’t. They don’t watch Beau’s videos. Instead, they rather be sold out by a bunch of pathological liars than hear an even more painful truth.
There are a few MAGAts who watch Beau the way Peter Doocy watches Jen Psaki – always trying for a “gotcha” (and always failing.) There’s no hope for Doocy, but there may be a smidgen of hope for these peole. It’s definitely true there aren’t enough of them.
