JM: Again, there’s little more we can do but hope Congress will keep its promise of enforcing its subpoenas.
LP: I see Majorie Taylor Greene is preparing to leave the government she never really became part of: “We don’t need a government to rule the country”. I’m sure she means this as a thumbs-up to her followers to bring down this government, but it would be nice if Democrats took her up on it and removed her from Congress.
RR: Unless poor American parents wake up and vote Republicans out of office, Democrats will not be able to turn this chance into a fact.
RA: Given half a chance that 50% of a minority will start that civil war, firm in their belief that war has already been started by those commie Democrats. These are people who are angry with the world, with their lives and themselves and are looking for an outlet for their irrational and uncontrollable rage, no matter the consequence.
SBS: What a lovely story and what a smart cat, letting the people think her young were still outside. She must have kept that up for a long time because the kittens were already quite large. I wonder what she did with their poo and pie, though. It must be quite smelly behind that cupboard.
Beau: I wish the GQP was still the party on conservatives only with no idea. But from where I see it, TFG’s legacy is the rise of the fascists/racists in the party, who have always been there to a certain extent but now effectively have taken over the party. The GQP itself calls it Trumpism and MAGA power and whatever, but those are only names for America’s brand of fascism. As far as ideas go, they are still conservatives, meaning they rely on old ideas and still are hankering for the good old days. But few seem to realize that those old ideas are those of a different era, thought out by a different nation and coated in an American chocolate sauce.
