JM: TFG is up to his neck in debt so where did he find the lawyers to put this lawsuit together for him, knowing they won’t get paid unless they win the full amount claimed in the lawsuit? They must be lawyers not from the bottom of the barrel but from underneath it. I don’t think TFG will pursue this lawsuit very long, he only wants his name mentioned in the NYT and other media. It has been silent far too long for this megalomaniac. All this will result in is his ridicule and Mary’s book sales going up.
TH: Thank goodness for people like Whitehouse. Somehow my (conspiratorial?) mind links Merrick Garland’s reluctance to look into the FBI sell out to the White House regarding Kavanaugh to his reluctance to prosecute Trump and his cronies for 6/1. It’s been clear to me that Garland is the wrong person for the position, but lately, I’m starting to wonder why he’s faltering on these crucial issues for American democracy.
NTN: I love this kind of black humour. The font of the funeral home’s logo could have been a little larger for impact, but otherwise, it was perfect!
RR: Pumping up IRS resources to what is needed to get fair taxation of all taxpayers according to the current system – and I’m not talking about a tax system having the rich pay their fair share – would not only pay for the added IRS resources but also ease on federal budgets. But we all know the GQP will vote against it because it is a vote against Biden and their masters don’t want their income scrutinized by the IRS. And finding more tax criminality would mean less money from Republican donors. As always, the GQP isn’t working for the country, only for itself.
TDS: I had to change my VPN to an American host to see it, but it was worth it. The history of childbirth seen in a nutshell make it perfectly clear why male doctors had women lay down and fully covered; that way they wouldn’t get their heads bashed in by women in agony who were refused any pain relief.
There’s not much chance of it the way this world is rushing to hell in a handbasket, but it would be such a better place when women finally took over.
Beau: Do you think that if vaccines could be given orally they wouldn’t have distributed them in little bottles or phials instead of training people to stick needles in people’s arms while risking exposure to the virus? We have to find a new word for it, because this is far, far beyond stupidity.
