Beau: Beau’s putting too much emphasis on Trump supporters being duped, on being tricked, to my liking. They’re not innocent babes that fell victim to evil power; they believed Trump without evidence because everything he told them was what they wanted to hear, what they already believed themselves and wanted it played back to them in confirmation, making it all the more ‘true’.
They have still been duped … not so much by Trump** perhaps, and more by themselves … but Trump** is the one reaping the rewards.
