GK: By minute 7:48, he is acting “as if” the DOJ is going to take that absurd action, not like it’s just speculation. So, I’m not a legal professional, but I’m concerned that if Garland went public with nothing more than Glenn is asking, that TOT’s lawyers would try to twist that in TOT’s favor.
MT: “Those Trump moments,” in hell.
NTN: I’m glad he’s speaking out, but given the current political polarization, those who need to listen will not. The GQP knows that it is on the verge of irrelevancy, if this bill passes. U+they have brought themselves to this point, but that is not going to stop their attempts.

One of the two – I think it was the 2001 one – fooled literally everyone in both Hpuses except Barbara Lee. And that included some very smart people The otherone was a more obvious mistake, but most made it anyway.

For starters, let us be clear: AG Garland (at least as of now) is NOT the Anti-Barr (an unquestionably CORRUPT AG)!
As I’ve posted previously, Carroll’s attorney succinctly summarized why AG Garland is WRONG:
Completing the circle, the argument that that the former president, when he incited his Trumpkin mob to try to overthrow our Constitution with their insurrection at the Capitol, was clearly NOT acting within the scope of his his duties as President.
If he doesn’t act – and SOON – on the LEADERS and financial supporters on the Trump-incited coup, we will undoubtedly face a redux of that sad episode.
Mr. Garland, it’s past time for you to do something that will change me from a cynic – and you can start by STOP DEFENDING Trump & Barr!

I’ll always be thankful I had hearing when Roger Daltrey sang “Pinball Wizard” from Tommy!
“Tommy” was amazing. No question about it. Next week (starting <onday) the Met will be streaming only American operas … and with the exception of one (which is only American by courtesy anyway) that ALL postdate “Tommy.” I’m convinced “Tommy” (and a few other rock operas) served to light a fire under cmposers of what I prefer to call “art music”, and it’s thanks to them that we have these operas – and many more, including “The Great Gatsby,” “An American Tragedy,” “Amistad,” “Riders of the Purple Sage,” “Bless Me, Ultima,” “Scalia/Ginburg,” (all but two of which I have heard on the radio and would love to hear again) and so many more, some I am forgetting and some I have never heard of, but they exist. And they keep coming!
I will do my very best not to slack off too much next week. I promise.
JM: Can it get any crazier? We were expecting the DOJ to go after the former guy when he incited his base to a violent insurrection and now some think the DOJ might actually defend this former guy for doing that. If that happens, America sure has lost the plot.
MT: If the GQP continues on its course, Siskind can soon ad a few moments to her list. If she hasn’t already.
NTN: As always, Obama is worth listening to and makes excellent sense. But he let Manchin off the hook too easily and tried to reach across the aisle again, something the GQP will feed on.
