Thatt is not the most flattering picyure of our dear friend. But he was so thrilled with that sweater.
Like so many here, I came to know TC through Care2. I was happy when heasked to take on the small duty of re-posting to Care2. That’s how I became emotionally involved enough to push myself in to the “gang od four” who got involved when in 2015 he suddenly “disappeared” We were all terribly worried, but we did find him even before he was recovered enough to start chasing the nurses again. Who can forget the day when he “ketched two!”
From now on, I don’t know whether I will ever again think of TomCat without also thinking of WWWendy. Se brought so much comfort and light and joy into his life that we, being so geographically far away, were unable to supply.
I hope she will forgive me for adding the image of an angel to her post. I know she is too modest to do so … but we all now she is one.
“Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
I have a video thread ready to go, but this is not the day to post it. So there may be two tomorrow. Or not.
Thanks to all f you that helped Tom these last few years keeping this blog going and with his health. I too never met Tom. I wish I had had the chance. He was the first guest my wife and my friend Jed interviewed on our internet radio show. I visited his site daily whenever possible. I will continue this with all of you new folks running it.
Rest in Peace Tom. You are missed and fondly remembered.
Welcome and thanks for your first comment. Certainly don’t be a stranger! We will do our best.
So glad you posted this!
Does that tee shirt really say that?
Thanks.
It’s a “Full Frontal” t-shirt from Samantha Bee:

LOL! Thanks for this, oh nameless one! I may buy one——I seem to only get called such trite, unoriginal names by the MAGAs (b-word, r-word,wacko,etc.)! “Thunder Cunt” has cat bite quality. It would always remind me of TC and Wendy, also.
Awwww……just Awwww….
So very, very sweet!!! and so is ‘our’ Angel WWWendy!!
Wonderful (yet tearful) post.
I already miss and mourn him. Terribly!
Thank you, Joanne for the post and great memories and pictures of TomCat.
Sweet posting, Joanne.
Yes I too became aware of TomCat and his website, Political Plus from being with Care2 for a very long time.
I remember when Care2 was stopped, I went searching on the Internet to find Political Plus. Was so happy that I did, because ever since I stayed with him, his site and met many of you too. Tom became a daily part of my life, reading the posts, his ups and downs with his health and other daily challenges.
I love the photos of Tom that you posted. Wendy has become a part of the family too. Tom letting us know whenever she was coming over, going on short vacations, her schedule changes and the fights she took on for him with his medical issues including home nurses, doctors, etc.
She’s a true Angel. I appreciate that she stayed with Tom during his final hours. God Bless, her.
It’s been hard on me ever since Wendy’s message last night.
I too miss Tom, but know he will be with us daily as his Website is continued by you, Thank God.
I know Tom had already been planning for this, but it’s still so hard to realize that it has happened.
Thanks again of the nice photos of Tom, Wendy and others.
Tom shall live on forever within our hearts.
Thanks Joanne
Sheryl (Dandelion) told me the sad news – TomCat touched so very many lives, most of us from Care2 … May he now find his path in a pain-free space
I loved and admired his courage during all these years of fighting the Big C, and the way he managed to keep sharing with us his sense of humour, his strong Caring about people & politics, and his curiosity about everything around.
I know Joanne will do all she can to keep the flame burning here. My heart goes out to those of you who’ve been very close to him.
Thank you, Evelyn.
A unique and wonderful man that gave as much as he could even when he was ill. It therefore does not at all surprise me that someone as wonderful as Wendy was there at his side. Rest well warrior, you deserve and earned it. I’m glad I had the pleasure of knowing him; even if it was online. My condolences to all whose lives he touched.
Thank you, Sheryl (I’ve known you as Dandelion for so long that sounds odd.) Are you still home schooling your beautiful granddaughter? (Befroe and then after the pandemic I mean – I’m sure you were and are during.) And maybe now your grandson too. Life keeps on going by.
thank you, Joanne, you have been amazing and doing so much good work keeping so many of us attached to TC these past years….let alone being in the group who tracked him and found him when he seemed lost all those years ago….bless you….TC has moved on, but our memories will help him have at least 9 more lives…if not 99….may he RIP….now to honor TC we must all re-double our efforts and keep doing “good trouble” to keep our countr(y/ies) moving forward for all……
