It’s another crappy, painful day here in the CatBox. Yesterday I Republicated half the Republican House Caucus before my shower and Republicated two more times before the say was out, exacerbating my back pain to an extreme degree. I talked to the Hospice and I expect another Methadone increase. I keep you posted when they let me know. Please pray for stability in Republication, medication and pain.

Christie may not be crazy enough for the current GOP to seriously consider; slimy enough, yes.

TJI #2 – The party of Lincoln has been dead a long time. We are now seeing the death throes of the party of Harding and Nixon.
TJI #3 – Kevin was not alone. 174 other Republicans voted with him. Only 25 (excuse me, 35) voted for it.
TJI #4 – As far as elected officials go, he’s right (with some exceptions – I’d be interested in his opinion of Gohmert, for example). It’s the voters in the Trump base who are stupid. But does it really matter which? I certainly don’t want evil governmen, but I don’t want stupid governent either. Every Republican idea is one or the other, unless it’s both. So allowing them to prevail will give us unacceptable government, period.

Pity you didn’t get the entire percentage of the House Caucus which votec “no” on thecommiccion – that was more like 83%. I can see not being totally thrilled with it – no “bipartisan” commission is going to have an easy road, neither in getting testimony nor in getting the results out without them being distorted – but these people voted no because they were a part of it, and don;t want that to come out. MAy you get your increase fast, may it be effective, and may your Republication always be easy and painless.
Cartoon – Violent then, violent now. The relation between racism and violence has always existes … and it’s kind of a chiken-and-egg situation. It’s pretty clear we will never have world peace as long as there is one racist in the world.
Blast – A song that begins with a Karen, decades before the name picked up that usage. But then, they have always existed (in both sexes – well, all genders really.)

Happy to read that you were able to Republicate yesterday, it’s too bad that it caused your back to be in so much pain. Will be praying that you get to feeling better soon.

Cartoon: Sometimes one wonders if the pain and suffering in those days were really worth it. They were for a while when it looked like the battle was won but since then racial hate and violence seem back at previous levels.
BFTP: Excellent choice, TomCat, this is the only Led Zeppelin song I really like.
