[0:10] (MLK] Mind you, friends your vote is precious, almost sacred. It is the most powerful non-violent tool we have to create a more perfect union. On one occasion a man was asked to count the number of bubbles in a bar of soap. On another occasion a man was asked to count the number of jelly beans in a jar -to keep them from casting their ballot.
[0:30] [Stacey Abrams?] The Governoris signing a bill that affects more Georgians – why are they doing it in private and why do they try to keep elected officials representing us out of this process?
[0:48][Rev Warnock]The Georgia election was certainly free of any consequential fraud. We counted the village not once not twice but three times
[music]
[1:20][Warnock] They don’t like the outcome. So this is democracy in reverse where Politicians have decided that instead of voters picking their representatives, their representatives have a right to cherry pick the voters.
[1:36] Dozens of prominent black business leaders in America, calling for companies to fight against georgia’s controversial voter legislation. We’re asking corporate America to publicly and directly oppose any discriminatory legislation and all measures designed to limit America’s ability to vote.
[2:16] There’s work to be done.
Meidas Touch – Projection…
Now This News – Despite pockets of crazies, I am proud of my state … and certainly proud of out Secretary of State.
Now This News – This is at least promising. We will have to see to what degree the promise is kept.

RU: Indeed! We do not need to become “Jim Crow Nation- Redux!”
MT: And ALL those imbecile QAnon idiots bought into it was Hillary and the Dems! And TOT did nothing but blather, and probably hope that she would not spill HIS beans!
NT#1: 86%!! Wow! “The people will vote!” Damn! Exactly what the GOP is afraid of.
MT#2: Chauvin was a trainer??!!
RAP: Going to do it, maybe for the 2nd time.
LP: You betcha!
K: Great!
PRS: It is good to see that the black community is realising what is happening and BLM takes up the fight to keep people of colour from further disenfranchisement.
MT: Wouldn’t you know it! All this bloody nonsense about a pizza parlour being the front end of a pedophile ring of Democrats brought up by Qanon. Pure projection. Law enforcement would do good to look into some of these other wild stories Qanon is propagating about Democrats; they might be projection too. Though I hope the baby-eating part is pure fantasy.
NTN: I don’t know much about Colorado besides what I experienced visiting over 25 years ago but it never struck me as a very blue state. Things have certainly changed, especially now 86% of the eligible people voted in one way or another. The only thing left to do for Colorado to improve voting is automatic registration, i.e. anyone living in Colorado at election time should be asked to put in a vote. And voting rights and registration should not be coupled to a party, the actual vote people cast is nobody’s business and should never play a role in district forming.
NTN2: We can but hope that Floyd’s death was the straw that broke the camel’s back and Chauvin’s trial is the start of real change. Too often and too long have we seen the brutal murder of black men, women, and let’s not forget, children, go unpunished. If Chauvin – and his colleagues who stood by him and did nothing – isn’t punished for what he did knowingly and seemingly with some gratification, the consequences are going to be dire.
RAP: I’d love to see some numbers on Republicans who sign this pledge.
LP: Some things are just too dirty? C’mon, there’s a list longer than both your arms of Republicans who have done things that are as bad or worse and got away with it. Gaetz cockiness shows he thinks he gets away with it and he probably will.
K: That is so funny!
