It’s an exhausted day here in the CatBox. I’ve made three trips to the throne this morning, but the output has been too tiny to qualify for Republican Party membership. I could not sleep last night. I’m falling asleep at the keyboard, so I need to go back to bed. Tomorrow is a WWWendy day, so I’ll have no more than a Personal Update, albeit better than this, I hope. Have a fine weekend!

Read a not very well intentioned article this morning on this. Texas refuses to tax itself to pay for natural disasters, they refuse to be part of the national electrical grid, but expect the nation to continually bail them out (this exact same “disaster” has happened three times in the last three decades, yet Texans refuse to build a proper infrastructure because that would mean they’d pay for it themselves, which they, the republicans who control the state, do not want to do) when these events happen. I’m not surprised that AOC has raised more money for Texas than ANY of it’s elected officials, not all of whom went to Cancun, nor that Beto O’Rourke who lost to Ted Cruz has done FAR more for Texans than the republican party in toto. Not sure the answer is cut them off, as that is neither kind nor necessary, but expecting them to open their wallets and take of their infrastructure problems or join with the rest of the nation and handle it that way is not unthinkable, except to republicans.

Take your time and slowly try to regain that daily rhythm you used to have, TomCat. It’s been out of kilter for a while so it’ll have to come back gradually but I’m sure you’ll feel a bit better when you find it again.
