This just isn’t my week.  WWWendy changed my Fentanyl patch to 100 mcg Yesterday afternoon, and it kicked in around Midnight, but it’s already disaster time again.  I have not Republicated since I was in the hospital Friday, so my OIC is back and severe.  Starting Saturday, I’ve been taking a 200 mg Docusate Sodium and a double dose of Dulcolax morning and evening and a dose od MIRAlax at noon.  I did squeeze out a tiny bit this morning.  Trying to push produced a tiny bit (1 tbsp.) of soft poo, but the pushing shot my pain level to 10 until I stopped pushing.  I’ll call Providence Doctor at Home when they open to see if they can come give me a shot of Resistor.  Yesterday I was in so much pain I didn’t know what day it was.  Today, Republicans are waging an insurrection against my bowels.  I hope your hump day is better than mine.  ARGH!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 5:11 (average 5:06).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

  1. You might ask if you can take the oral form of Relistor.

RELISTOR® (methylnaltrexone bromide) tablets, for oral use

They might also be amenable to having you administer the injection since it’s just a subcutaneous (Subq) administration.  I’d at least ask about it.

    • Many years ago, my first allergy doctor had me self-administering an IM in the quadriceps a few times a week (it was a vitamin = I forget which.)  It didn’t seem to be accomplishing much so he discontinued it.  But self-administering is not as difficult with good instruction as a non-professional would think, provided it an easily reachable place.

  2. Cartoon: Thank God !
    BFTP: Such a sweet song!

Gee, TC, I sure hope that you get on the re-bound, and get to feeling better. I feel bad that you are in so much pain too. Praying that you get on the wellness track and stay there. Hope that you can get some rest too. Take good care, and hope all goes well for you.

This just in: “Ever notice the women of the Democratic Party such as Hillary, Nancy, and Kamala have these awesome powers to take out those in the GOP without messing up their hairdos? How do they do that? ~ Vicki M. ~

    3. “So down in Mar-A-Lago where his neighbors don’t want him, the bitter guy stews. Twitterless. Bootlicking staff mostly gone. Not welcome in the Ex-Presidents club. A loser, his bloody coup failed. Facing a zillion lawsuits, planning his revenge tour. But that tour won’t pack as much a punch without the awesome powers of the presidency, will it? ~ Cathy F. ~

  3. Oh gosh, it isn’t your week for sure. I hope it gets better.

Cartoon – Actually they did – that’s why they built safeguards into the Constitution. But their dreams were “small and inferior imitations of the real thing.” And that’s why the precautions don’t work as well as they need to. But it really is exceedingly difficult to wrute precautions strong enough to protectwhich don’t also prevent legitimate legislation and policy changes from getting done.

Blast – Ummmm – “sweet” is not what I would call it. “Cynical” seems to fit better to me.

Susan McDougall (actually it was a grand jury, but the point is still valid)

  4. I take an insulin shot daily in the fatty tissues of my gut and it is not difficult anymore.  The needle is very small (32 gauge 6 mm in length).  If the shot is intramuscular, you might be able to do it in your thigh where you can better see what you are doing and have a better angle.  I have found that going n at a 90 degree angle is best pain wise (I am needle phobic) and from a bruising angle.

I am sorry to hear about the problems.  It seems that Republicans have stolen all the “repulication energy” as they seem to be republicating all over themselves . . . and the country!

  5. Sorry it’s being so bad!
“Toon: they would have considered today’s Republicans as the handmaidens of the devil.
BFP: “If this was about Republicans it world be Lyin’ Everything!”  Was thinking thievery same thing just before I noticed it.
My first TJI: Limbaugh is no more!

  6. TJI#3: Poor baby!
TJI#5: Texas is experiencing temps at 1 degree F.  I would not call Texas Hell, but Abbott is feeling some political heat!
Ah, Joanne beat me to it.  We can allllllll celebrate.  I know, it may not be socially acceptable to cheer a death, but I cheered JEdgar’s and Scalia’s, and see no good reason to break stride.
    TJI#6: Adult, ethical, sane!

  7. They sure have it in for you this week, TomCat. Your inspector Goosestep would think it was a conspiracy against you. Joking aside, wouldn’t be battling your increasing constipation causing you so much pain you forget which day it is be a job for your palliative care nurse/doctor? If you’re experiencing level 10 pain, even shortly, the care seems to fall short.

4:23 That puzzle made me miss my Trijntje.

    Cartoon: Or its devil-child Trumpism.

BFTP: Great song. I was a fan of the eagles at the time. Lyin’ eyes are the first box to tick when Republicans go recruiting.

Limbaugh kicked the bucket (I can’t be gracefully about it). One down…

    • I can see why you would miss Trijntje.  Goats really can be adorable.

Republican eyes are dead, as far as I can tell.  Nobody home, and it’s debatable whether the lights are even on.

  8. BFTP: Good song, but when you mentioned the rotten R’s, it sure does fit them perfectly.
Sorry to hear that you’re not feeling better, TC.
Sure hope you can get some relief, I dread that feeling of not being able to go. Hopefully you were able to get thru to the Providence Doctor earlier today and they were able to help.
Will continue to keep praying for you to get to feeling better.
    Take care.
