It’s a rushed day here in the CatBox. I am de-stunk, and WWWendy is cooking. I should be in the saddle tomorrow. Happy Hump Day!

Cartoon: Tax time! Gotta get ‘er done. ugh.
BFTP: A great song to listen to.
Hi, Wendy! Glad that you got your chores done. Take it easy and your rest, take good care, Thanks, Tom.
*This just in: “Michelle Obama thanks Jill Biden for fresh veggies from the WH garden she planted.” ~ Judy Kurtz ~ H/T: JD
2. “Home Depot is the latest corporation to announce that they are suspending PAC donations to Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, and all the other Republican traitors who voted to overturn our democratic election.” ~Judd L.~
3. “Hold my purse. I’ll help Joe Biden clean-up the R’s! I hope Biden stands up to them. The R’s change with the wind to keep the Loser happy, even though he’s gone.” ~ Linda B. ~
4. “Anyone who thinks Jews are capable of creating a space laser, hasn’t seen me try to unmute myself on Zoom.” ~ Andy Borowitz ~
5. *From this morning – “President Biden appears to be making his way to the US Capitol to pay respects to the Fallen Capitol Police Office, Brian Sicknick, killed by insurrectionists and lying in Honor in the Rotunda.
~ Robert L. ~
***As CNN and MSNBC carry live footage from the US Capitol as the fallen officer arrives to lie in honor, Fox sticks to @seanhannity’s normal show and offers no coverage. ~Oliver Darcy ~
6. “MAGA’s are getting arrested.” ~ Brian K.~
Capitol Rioter Jenny Cudd is a perfect illustration of Chutzpah:
Jenny violates Federal laws and breaks into our Capitol, gets arrested BUT asks the judge to let her take a pre-paid vacation to Mexico!

NOTE to JENNY: One’s actions have consequences – not all or which you might like.
Good Grief….! And the judge approved her request. Geesh!
Go figure, right?
I read about her…she’s from Midland, Texas.
“Chutzpah” was the first word that came to my mind as well. (“Balls the size of church bells” didn’t seem to fit physically, though attitude-wise, it does.) Part of me hopes she goes from Mexico to a country with no extradition and the judge gets into serious “kim chee.”
TJI #1 – Such a touching gesture, in so many ways – it brought me tears.
TJI #2 – But the fact that they made such donations in the first place is still a strike against them. If they are just bowing to intense pressure, this is worthless.
TJI #4 – Two words: Albert. Einstein. Sorry, Andy, that you are challenged.
TJI #5 – Because of course he is. And because of course they are!
TJI #6 – A good thing – as far as it goes. Sometimes it doesn’t go very far.
Howdy Wendy! What you got cooking?
I’m running late, but glad to hear you’ll be eating well. I hope your not mentioning pain means it is at least a little better.
TC, please thank Pete De Fazio from me personally (and he’s welcome to pass on the thanks to the other co-sponsors) for the bill he has introduced to save the USPS – beliv=eve it or not, it’s bipartisan.
Cartoon – Taxation is one form of distribution of wealth. It is a necessity in order to have a functioning government, and reall, that right there is the reason that, in a democracy at east, it should be fair.
Blast – One I’m not familiar with.
Coming from a man as genuinely Christian as John Pavlovitz, this is powerful stuff. Like chasing out bankers with a whip.
Happy Hump Day to you, too
‘Toon: Tax time? Yeah, tell the biggest looser, ever, about that!
BFP: What a nice sound!
Happy Hump Day to you too.
Cartoon: Tax time…fun time for some. I wish they’d do like Joanne mentioned, be fair. The rich needs to pay their share.
BFTP: Great song. America has some great hits.
Nice of Wendy to be cooking some meals for you. Hope you both had a nice visit.
Take care. Thanks TomCat
Take care of yourself, TomCat.
3:42 Who’d have thought a simple garden hose could provide puzzle entertainment?
Cartoon: I just paid my husband’s 2018-2019 taxes and my 2019-2020 taxes (yes, the Aussies start their financial year at July 1st) and had a belly full to last me another 6 months.
BFTP: The band America sure made some good music.
I remember that when my Mom died, she died in January, so I was working on her last returns more than a year afterwards. I really don’t know how else it could be done, but it is hard to live through it again while at the same time doing one of the most dreaded tasks in existence. My heart goes out to you.
Thanks and exhausted, painful hurry hugs to all!
