It’s a hectic day here in the CatBox. I have no idea why, but I could not sleep last night, so I’m very tired. As soon as I dozed off during my morning nap, I woke up., because I had to make an emergency run to the throne to impeach a big load of Republicans. Fortunately it was neither -osis nor -itis. Today is grocery delivery day from Store to Door, and I have to unpack and put everything away when they arrive. Tomorrow WWWendy is taking me to the hospital for my infusion. I’ll post a brief Personal Update, before I leave, and and a “home safe” comment in the afternoon or evening. Saturday is a WWWendy day, so please expect no more than a personal update that day. This is a the last day with Trump** as Resident. Make it a good one.
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Today’s took me 4:43 (average 8:29). To do it, click here. How did you do?
Cartoon:
Keep this in mind as Beat Bawling Baby Moscow Mitch has promised to cooperate during Trump’s** Senate Trial. He’s up to something. What do you think it is?
Short Takes:

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
I hope you don’t have to overdo putting them away. Remember, non-refrigerated stuff can wait.
Cartoon – And that’s putting it nicely.
Sorry, I can’t think enough like BMM to guess.
Other PP Good Don – Right on the money.
Blast – I widh it were that simple. At a minimum, it requires eternal vigilance.
I know we’re nan animal-loving bunch – for those of you who own one or more dogs, here’s something new.
Fiona Hill (remember her? Testified alongside Vindman and a couple of other heroes?) explains why it was a coup.
I would surely like to know whether everyone’s panic buttons were ripped out … or just Democrats … or just “the Squad” … or just Rep. Pressley’s. And of course also by whom
.
Cori Bush is right on the money there, isn’t she?
Glad you posted the Cori Bush poster. Proves that not ALL Missouri Congress critters are reprehensible (looking at YOU, Josh Hawley!).
Wish KCMO could claim her – but she’s from the other side of the state.
Either way – thrilled she’s in Congress. I’d keep an eye on her. She’s going places!
Oh, I certainly hope she is! She’s great!
Cartoon: Oh, but of course.
All I can think of is that BBMM is up to no good! Maybe he’ll retire?
PPC: Good song.
YT: Great melody and words.
Hope that you get all your chores done, so that you can take a nap. Best to you with Wendy taking you to and fro for your infusion tomorrow too. Take good good care, and tell Wendy HI too!
*Cori Bush’s warning is frightening.
**Ive been taking my little girl (a Shih Tzu) to Dunkin’ Donuts. They have puppy lattes for four legged friends. And…I bring one home for my Russian Blue too. Thank you, Joanne.
*This just in: “Deutsche, Signature, and Professional Banks are not engaging any further business with dt.”
~ Justine C. ~
2. “The valiant ladies of the WNBA are going to force Kelly Loeffler out of her team ownership in Atlanta. You go!, girls!” ~ Paul G. ~
3. “Like deranged Donnie Senior, junior is equally guilty of stochastic terrorism, by whipping his dad’s supporters into a frenzy. Law enforcement has the video.” ~ John S. ~
4. “Putin and the Kremlin will intensely monitor dt’s impeachment and possible removal, unable to meddle and or hack dt out of it, while the oligarchs trump owes, watch helplessly as their investment(s) vaporize.”
~ Loumar G.~
5. “Trump said if there is another Civil War, he will get a new note from podiatrist.” ~ Andy B. ~
6. “You really have to give credit where it’s due. It’s really, really hard to get yourself impeached. But dt not only did it twice, he made it look easy.” ~ George Conway ~
TJI #5 – I saw that – I’m not sure he will need one, but it’s funny. BTW, Dr. Harold Borenstein just died. He was 73. Oh well, I guess Trump** would have had to find a new doctor anyway, going to Florida and all.
TJI #6 – Another Lincoln Project person who has a way with words. LOL!
TJI #1 – Doesn’t Deutche want its huge loans back then?
TJI #3 – Finally someone who agrees with me.
TJI #6 –
He has not been ignored. Eyes have been on him, and now…
sounds like it has been a long week for you…..hope it gets better…..next week should be better…at least we get to Dump Donald on the 20th……thanks for all you do…..
Mitch wants to throw a monkey wrench into Biden’s first 100 days by keeping the Congress busy with an impeachment trial. He will no longer be leader, but the Democrats want to convict Trump. He will demand an investigation, witnesses, and ensure a slow trial.
He won’t be the Sheriff any more. Kamala will. I’d love to see them expel some seditionisys before the vote, but that is probably too much to ask for..
Cartoon: Sounds exactly like the way they work…sneaky.I’m like others here, don’t trust mItch the bi*ch one bit. Maybe since his wife resigned, he’s 78, maybe he will retire like Pat mentioned.
PPC: Good one by Don.
BFTP: Great tune by Rascals. It will be nice to be free from the rotten R’s.
Sorry you were up all night.
Do like Joanne mentioned, only putting your groceries that need to be refrigerated/frozen away. Otherwise tomorrow Wendy can help you put them away tomorrow after your hospital visit.
Hope you were able to take a couple of naps today.
Good luck with your infusion. Tell Wendy “hello” tomorrow morning.
Take care. Thanks TomCat
Good luck tomorrow with your hospital day, TomCat. Try to make up for your lost sleep before you go, please.
4:32 Fun puzzle to do.
Cartoon: Before the attempted coup, an analyst here in Oz pointed out that it was now a battle between McConnell and Trump over the leadership of the GOP and McConnell’s behaviour has all the hallmarks of that. If there is a chance that Trump could try to return in 2024 and by doing so would keep a grip on both his following and the GOP until then, McConnell will do anything in his power to prevent that without losing his own grip. So he won’t try to get Trump convicted in the impeachment and thrown out before the 20th, that would cost him the support of too many Republicans implicated in the coup. But on the 21st he’ll be there to make sure Trump can’t return for another election. McConnell isn’t giving anything, only taking.
PPC: Another excellent parody performed by Don. I’m sure Biden will never give him the opportunity of such sharp texts, so Don will have to focus on the GOP, or whatever remains of it, instead. Plenty to do.
BOTP: Freedom is slowly creeping back in the headlines “Nine US officials charged with crimes including manslaughter over Flint water crisis deaths”, including former Michigan governor Rick Snyder and key members of his administration. It may be a week early; Trump could still pardon them but apparently prosecute think he won’t.
Wish I could say I was a great sleeper – but like you, my success varies. Although I’ve never had a problem going to sleep, but after 4-5 hours when I need to make a pit stop, getting back to sleep is not always as successful as I would like it.
Hope all goes well with your infusion.
I’m confused with your entry of:
“This is a the last day with Trump** as Resident.”
My tea-leafing reading would guess that it might be:
This is a the last Thursday with Trump** as Resident.
But I’d love to know if it were something else – because, as is, it’s pretty cryptic.
I fear for this country’s future. Even with Blue in charge of Congress and the White House – actually, ESPECIALLY with Blue in charge – reich-wing bugnut extremists are going to be dangerous, perhaps more dangerous than before since we no longer have Putin’s catchfart in charge. From what I have seen of reich-wing wack-jobs, I will not be surprised if we see a lot more violence and even out-and-out terrorism from them. Those people are dangerous AF and NOT to be laughed at! Prepare, but remain hopeful.
That is, if you will, a two-edged sword, though. I agree they will be more active. But we will also have a Justice Department willing to do something about them. Yes, it make take a while to get fully into the program. I’m nervous too, but hopeful as well.
Thanks and No TGIF Hugs to All!
