Cartoon: Sad. The start of the Great Depression.
Hi, WWWendy! Hope that y’all have a safe trip to and fro to the hospital, thank you, Wendy. Best to you on your CAT scan too! Take care, and rest when you get back home, and nap. Thanks, Tom.
This just in:
1. “Donald Trump is a disgrace. I never want to see this man on TV again. The election can’t come soon enough. ~ Robert Reich ~
2. “Trump’s claim (from last night’s debate) that only ‘immigrants with the lowest IQ follow the law’ was unconscionable.” ~ Aaron R. ~
3. Trump on Covid-19: “I take full responsibility. Its not my fault.”
4. “Twitter, twitter little czar, you left your Country with a scar. One thing we all confirm as true, Obama’s so much better than you.” ~ Wagner K. ~
5. Q: “Where’s the fly? A: Guess the fly wouldn’t take one for the team.” ~ anon ~
TJI1: I agree with Robert Reich 100%, I’m sick of seeing tRump too.
TJ3: tRump never was one who never took responsivity. Always accusing others…Shameful POS.
TJI #2 – Well, now we know what he means by “Low IQ.” Honest and responsible citizens. I suspected that, but this clarifies it.
Well, well, it’s “politics week” at the Met starting Monday. You’d be surprised how many operas are political. Don Carlo (Spanish Inquisition politics), Agrippina (ancient Roman politics), Simon Boccanegra (Guelph/Ghibelline politics in Genoa), Nixon in China, Boris Godunov (Czarist politics), The Ghosts of Versailles (French Revolution politics), and Satyagraha (about Gandhi). And I can think of two more just by John Adams off the top of my head, and at least one more by Verdi, and that doesn’t even include Otello, where the political meets the personal. I won’t watch all of them – but I certainly will watch some. (1984 is also an opera, but it was never done at the Met, so it’s not available for this. I have a DVD if I can only find it.)
Well, we knew it was going to be a crazy day for you. And, you’re right, oversleeping is no way to start. Hope you will let us know when you’re back – AFTER you have enjoyed your pizza! And that then you can rest.
Cartoon – the FIRST Great Depression. The Second Great Depressions started January 20, 2017.
Home and exhausted!
🍕 YUM! 🍕 BURP!
Burping is a good sign!
Mine was delicious too. I added an Italian-style salad with Caesar dressing. Mmmmmm.
Republicans have a tendency to do that!
Cartoon: Not a good day at all. I agree with Joanne that we are still suffering from the second one that stated January 20. 2017.
I’m running late here today. Had to go and see my hand/arm specialist yesterday and she gave me an cortisone injection in my right arm. Still a bit painful, but feel it will end up being helpful.
Glad that you made the CAT scan okay. Praying that it shows that the treatments are helping you.
Hope you and Wendy enjoyed the Pizza. Tell her “Hello” tomorrow and that I hope she is doing well too.
Take care. Thanks TomCat
Hopefully the cortisone will work – if so it should be good for several months – so said my late mother-in-law and so says the PA who diagnosed my arthritis.
Colleen, hope that you start feeling better. Those shots sting, but in the long run, it’s beneficial for the person getting the shot. Rest, and take care.
Tom, glad you got home okay. Thank you, Wendy for all you do. Glad that your pizza was yummy too.
Thanks, y’all for your comments. I learn much here.
You teach as well. I think we all do some of both. that’s what makes us strong.
Despite oversleeping, the CAT scan went well, I imagine because you enjoyed your pizza that much., TomCat. No crust and slightly gooped?
4:05 Nothing to be proud of.
Cartoon: And they will do it again.
Thanks and Republicisis Hugs to all!
