Moving Forward – Sam’s tribute to RBG

Private Detention Centers I and II – As a person who has opposed private prisons for decades, I still have to say the problem here is more “detention centers” than it is “private.” And the root problem is our entire national philosophy of immigration in the first place. We don’t operate under the assumption that citizens are criminals until proven otherwise. Why should we operate under the assumption that immigrants and refugees are criminals until proven otherwise, when statistics show there are a lot fewer immigrant criminals than citizen criminals?

We Hate Surprises – The very first October Surprise was sprung by George H W on Jimmy Carter (LBJ was screwed treasonously by Nixon, but it wasn’t exactly a surprise.) Prior to that, presidential politics was dirty, but not THAT dirty. Now, we are stuck with it. And, of course, by “we” I mean Democrats. Only Republicans are evil enough to do “October surprises.”

We Got The Vote (Florida) – Rulings by Judge Amy Coney Barrett have been majorly instrumental in preventing the law from taking effect as intended. Nuff said.
