It’s a painful day here in the CatBox, and this is my only article. I don’t know whether this is a side effect of the inflammation from my treatment or a sign that my disease is getting worse, but I feel completely worn out; I am still having trouble eating, because my esophagus feels raw; and my back pain is worse. Tonight is a WWWendy night. What I do tomorrow will have to depend on how I feel. Tuesday is flush your Republicans day, and I’m sure I’ll be making a throne run before I publish this (success).

From NY Times: The top communications official at the powerful cabinet department in charge of combating the coronavirus made outlandish and false accusations on Sunday that career government scientists were engaging in “sedition” in their handling of the pandemic and that left-wing hit squads were preparing for armed insurrection after the election.
Michael R. Caputo, the assistant secretary of public affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services, accused the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of harboring a “resistance unit” determined to undermine President Trump, even if that opposition bolsters the Covid-19 death toll.
Mr. Caputo, who has faced intense criticism for leading efforts to warp C.D.C. weekly bulletins to fit Mr. Trump’s pandemic narrative, suggested that he personally could be in danger from opponents of the administration. “If you carry guns, buy ammunition, ladies and gentlemen, because it’s going to be hard to get,” he urged his followers.
He went further, saying his physical health was in question, and his “mental health has definitely failed.”

It’s now one of those times of year when looking at the expected high temp doesn’t really tell me what to expect. I need to also look at the expected low. I am surely sorry about your pain. I feel completely worn out most of the time with only old age stuff, so maybe the worn-out feeling isn’t so very bad a sign, though certainly annoying (isn’t it a normal side effect of chemo? Or is this much worse?). Prayers.

#6 – I want him out of office first, but I will not be satisfied with getting him out of office. We are currently living i a cold civil war, and that means those on the wrong side are traitors. We learned – or we should have learned – during the first Reconstruction what comes of being too forgiving with traitors. We cannot afford to make that mistake again.

I would posit that if Trump goes to prison, he will be out of office immediately. However, in that case, Pence would become president and it is back to square 1. Vote the duo out and then give Trump a one way ticket to prison, the darker, the dingier, the better!
Hi, all. Wow, that Caputo is really out there,OMCat Goddesses! I’m sure Rachel M.,etc. will keep focus on him as well the many others. Ammo, indeed! I read there are wide spread shortages already. Back in March, local farm supply/ammosexual (Thx, TC!)store ran out of ammo immed. when Gov. ordered shut down—-WTH? Will keep cat eyes on neighbor,don’t know if has gun but for 1st time in 7 yrs has campaign yard sign—-for clown puppet! He & wife both over 60;she obese, diabetic,etc. JD, hadn’t thought of that, re: French,interesting. Everyone stay as safe & healthy as possible—-fires, COVID, crazies, all of it. Meeooow.

I’m not doing well this afternoon. I went in this morning for the lower dental work I told you about two months ago. The surgery took over 2 hours, then I was in recovery for close to 3 hours. My mouth and face is swollen and numb I’ve been told not to be very active for 2 weeks. Warning me that if I, it would cause major problems.

Caputo is a dedicated Roger Stone acolyte, and has been for years. That automatically certifies him as right-wing LUNATIC!
As noted, he himself has Caputo, who admitted that his “mental health has definitely failed,” (NO KIDDING!?!)
It may be time to discuss your pain-medication options again with your palliative health carers, TomCat. And see what your stent options are. The main thing for you now is to keep as comfortable and pain-free as possible, and that also means you’ll post whenever you feel up to it. No worries.

Update: As Fauci said, you can’t say it’s improving if you’re plateauing at 43,000 new cases and 1000 deaths a day.
NYT: It is clear that Trump has taken to appointing people who are as mad as he is: paranoid, delusional; you name it, Caputo has got it. He’s one notch above his master, though, by admitting that his “mental health has definitely failed.” We’ll never see Trump admit to that.
MSNBC: Now we know the other half of the story which began months ago when hospitals were required to hand in their COVID-19 data directly to the White House instead of to the CDC. Goodness knows what happened to this data, but apparently the reports on this were still too bleak in Trump’s opinion and the CDC-scientists were pressured to “adapt” the numbers and reports according to his majesty’s wishes by Caputo. Kudos to the career-scientists who stood up to him and pushed his already failing mental health over the brink by refusing to comply.
