TJI #1, #2: He can’t pardon somebody who has not yet been convicted, I believe, so the indictment process needs to go along slowly, while she remains in jail, at least until 1/21/21. I read that the hours mr. “I won’t be plying golf,” has put in amount to a year’s time.

Interesting – that makes it much like the “general pardon” in British law It was commonly given when someone left the monarch’s service as a guarantee that something which had been done for the monarch in good faith would not come back to bite the person later., a bit like a non-disclosure agrement only in reverse. Not that anything done bu or for Trump* belings in the same sentence with “good faith.”
There’s at least one legal expert arguing for recission, the argument being basically, in lay language, “Yeah, there’s no precedent, but there’s a first time for everything, and the Constitution doesn’t explicitly prohibit it.”
Assuming Paul Waldron survives his COVID-19 ICU experience, it would be nice if he admitted something along the lines of:
