From Crooks and Liars: Ohio state Rep. Nino Vitale (R) on Tuesday encouraged his constituents to “stop getting tested” for COVID-19.
In a Facebook post, Vitale suggested that the government is using COVID-19 tests to create a “dictatorship.”
“Are you tired of living in a dictatorship yet?” Vitale asked. “This is what happens when people go crazy and get tested. STOP GETTING TESTED!”
“It is giving the government an excuse to claim something is happening that is not happening at the magnitude they say it is happening,” he continued. “Have you noticed they never talk about deaths anymore, just cases? And they never talk about recoveries. They just keep adding to numbers they have been feeding us from over 3 months ago!”

TVU: As of 9 Jun, we are at 457 active cases of COVID-19 in the area. Not good. At all.
C&L: Sadly, I’m seeing more and more of this kind of behavior and language, while most of us are still quarantined. Or staying masked when we go anywhere.
ASC: Glad to see the SCOTUS did find that – dt doesn’t have ‘absolute immunity’, and is not above the law.

Last night Beau put up a video discussing how to accomplish change without being in the street. Among other things, he talked about the Overton window and how it gets shifted. He mentioned that we who feel that no one near us shares the way we think are more important than we can imagine, because we are “behind enemy lines.” H talked about how and when to share (and I thought of Pat B … I think she is doing exactly that.) MSNBC – Something that is sometimes getting buried is that the decisions were 7-2 – but the two dissenters DID agree that there s no such thing as unqualified immunity – in other words, that NO ONE – not even the President – is above the law. And they said so, in writing. (Quote: Even Justice Thomas:
“I agree with the majority that the President does not have absolute immunity from the issuance of a grand jury subpoena.”) So that slap in the face of Barrf was 9-0.

Update: In terms of risk-levels it looks acceptable, doesn’t it? But how can you tell if a risk-level is low if you don’t test?
C&L: A dictatorship by whom? Is Nino Vitale referring to the Trumpian federal government or his own Republican government in Ohio? With cases spiking at an alarming rate in his own state, it is understandable that Republican Vitale wants to stop testing, aka cover-up the real number of cases, and go on pretending that everything is going fine under the Trumpian dictatorship.

ASC: Delaying tactics are the only thing Trump is any good at. Well, he has to be with the ridiculous amount of practice he’s had. But with this ruling, he knows he’s not above the law and they will get him sooner or later. Another reason why he doesn’t sleep that well.
