AG Barr, aka Barrf, has been using the DOJ to further the desires of criminal Fuhrer Trump* and the Republican Reich. To do so, he has interfered with legitimate prosecutions and denied the American people the justice that is our right. He should be impeached.
Two prosecutors in the Justice Department will ratchet up the criticism of Attorney General William Barr on Wednesday with remarkable congressional testimony accusing senior Justice Department officials of politicizing DOJ investigations and the sentencing of a friend of President Donald Trump.
Aaron Zelinsky, a prosecutor on former special counsel Robert Mueller’s team, plans to testify that the sentencing recommendation for Trump’s longtime friend and adviser Roger Stone was watered down due to political pressure from the “highest levels” of the Justice Department, according to Zelinsky’s prepared remarked released Tuesday. Zelinsky, who now works in the Maryland US Attorney’s Office, said the pressure came due to Stone’s “relationship with the President.”
John Elias, a career Justice Department prosecutor in the Antitrust Division, accused Barr of ordering investigations into 10 mergers of cannabis companies because he did not like the industry, according to a copy of his testimony. Elias also charged that political leadership in the Antitrust Division pushed an investigation into California’s emissions standards last year following a tweet from the President attacking the state.
Wednesday’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee comes amid a new flurry of questions surrounding Barr’s decision to fire Geoffrey Berman, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, which has investigated Trump and his associates. Berman initially refused Barr’s request for his resignation, vowing to remain until the Senate confirmed his replacement sparking a chaotic situation that ended after Trump and Barr fired him and Berman agreed to leave…

I know, I said that Barrf should be impeached, and I’m right! However, there’s no way in hell that we can ever get a fair trial, let alone a conviction, in the Senate, as long as it is in the fetid grip of Bought Bitch Midnight Moscow Mitch and the Republican Reich. Therefore, we need to keep exposing Barrf’s crimes and educating people about them. Hopefully, in 2021 a Democratic President will appoint a REAL Attorney General, who will have Barrf investigated and indicted. Then the court can tell him, “Go to jail! Go directly to jail! Do NOT pass go! Do NOT collect $200,000,000!” It will be even better, if he meets his beloved criminal Fuhrer Trump* there!

Everything you say is correct. But there is one possible reason for impeaching Barr, even at this late date and with this Senate. And that is the optics.
Very, very seldom do I advance optics as a reason for doing something. In the first place, the action must be the right ting to do. Well, impeaching him is the right thing to do. Secondly, the action must not interfere with actually accomplishing anything. Well, the Senate pretty much precludes that. The only things we are getting through the Senate ate emergency measures that are so high profile they don’t dare kill them (though they are doing their best to cripple them.)
For those reasons, I think an impeachment might be a good thing. Remember the House does the investigating, and the House will not skimp in its duty, so we are definitely not talking about a trial tomorrow. The capacity of the American public to ignore actual events is so great that the investigation is likely to bring out abuse into the public I which you and I probably know about but 90% of America doesn’t. It might even bring out significant abuses we don’t know about, the corruption runs so deep.
I say let’s do it.

I have already circulated two or three petitions demanding his resignation or removal, and I will pass along any more that I find. Barr is a drag on this country due to his position as tRump’s chief bootlicker.

The damage the dastardly duo of *Rump & Barr has done to our judicial system, rule of law and jurisprudence is almost unfathomable.
AG Barr has agreed to testify before Chairman Nadler’s House Judiciary Committee on July 2nd [ERROR: 7/28/20]. I’ll see what happens – but at this point someone will have to provide convincing reasons why Barr should NOT be impeached.
The guy needs to go, there is no question about that. I read an opinion, this morning, stating that the Dems need to focus on the House and Senate elections, and there is no question about that either.
I have my own concern…that starting an impeachment process against Barr could give Trump an issue with which to inflame his deplorables, going into the next few months.
Nonetheless, I have signed petitions to impeach.

If Democrats – because let’s be honest, only Democrats want Barrf gone – will expect nothing more than they got from impeaching Trump, then, by all means, impeach and try to remove Barff from office. The House needs to impeach him for the same reasons they impeached Trump: democracy can’t survive if it stands aside and lets it happen.
Start the procedure now, start the investigations as soon as possible and have Barrf’s corruption and his loyalty to Trump above to impartially upholding the law fresh in everyone’s mind.
