I often get down on police at demonstrations, as I have witnessed far too many instances of harm, up to including death, inflicted on peaceful demonstrators by fascist Republican police, through their vicious use of violence. Kudos to those cops, who did the right thing by joining the demonstrators, including some here in Portland. RESIST!!

Thank God, Dog, FSM, heaven, whatever that SOMEONE finally SAID this! I would personally replace “may be” with “freaking are,” but it is something.
New from the Lincoln Project
Cartoon – II was going to say “I don’t doubt it” – but I looked at the date again and I dunno. Lincoln was dead, but the GOP was still his party then. He would have come back to haunt them. It probably took till 6/3.
Map – If my math is correct, that still leaves over 1.1 million people with active symptoms.
MSNBC – This is truly heartwarming. And it’s a first, I’m pretty sure. I hope it isn’t a last – it does feel like a real change. (P.S. I love Val Demings. I’ll have to look for that.)
CNN – He’s afraid they will hurt him physically, because that’s what he would do (or have done for him – he’s too much of a wuss to get his knuckles scratched.) But it isn’t the protesters who are to be feared – it’s the RWNJs who want war. (Antifa is a terrorized group, not a terrorist group … and I use the word “group” loosely.) I have to say the reporting appears very solid.
Past – I thought I knew the Beatles, but this one must have slipped through the cracks in my memory.

MSNBC: The Houston Police chief, Art Arcevedo, has walked alongside with the protesters, and meanwhile, up in Austin, Chief Manley spoke of providing a space for free speech, but will not tolerate hate/violence. Glad to see this, and taking a knee too.
CNN: Pleeeze! … When I first heard about this, … I was wondering if dt was wondering if they have Wi-Fi down in the bunker. For his Twittering and feed. Shame that he couldn’t meet and mingle with the protesters, after all, he IS the president.

TJI #1 – there is a limit to what people of color can do about white supremacist agitator who come in and use violence to make it look like it’s the protesters who are violent. John Lewsi knows this – it’s far from his first rodeo – but I do wish more people would be saying it. The ones who need their faces rubbed in it are far too dumb (and blind) to see it for themselves.
Even as blatant as they were in Minnesota.

I hope your palliative care team has contacted you and came up with some solutions to your pain, TomCat. The whole idea of palliative care is that you wouldn’t be made to suffer any pain so I hope the team has come through for you.

MSNBC: I hope police officers joining protesters on a personal basis is a new trend. When people of all walks of life join in the protest becomes the protest of all Americans against racism and a fascist government.
CNN: Trump is a coward, always has been a coward and always will be and he has stirred up his base against the protesters so profoundly that in his dementia he no longer can his own lies from reality and has frightened himself out of the little wit he had. We probably never hear the truth, but chances are his aides needed all their persuasion to talk coward Trump into leaving that bunker again because it made him feel both safe and important and he won’t get that above ground.

I’m living in the “hottest” state but I’m up in the middle of the state which isn’t too bad. We’re opening up very cautiously thanks to Gov. Cuomo. Of course the Repugs are complaining that he’s like a dictator but I don’t care.
The protests have taken place here too but the police joined the protesters and it was all peaceful. There are more good people in the world than bad.
Be safe everyone and vote like your life depends on it because it does!
