About 40 minutes after posting yesterday’s update, I climbed into bed and had an attack of Republicosis so severe that, although I made it to my chair, I Republicated my pants before I reached the throne.  Wendy had to come and take care of me.  She talked to my oncology doctor’s nurse.  It turns out the dietitian was wrong.  They will allow her in to my infusion next Tuesday.  Dr. Brosden may lower my chemo dose.  I feel very weak, but I’m hoping to be partially in the saddle on Thursday.  BIG Hugs to all.

  1. Bless you, Tom….I can’t even imagine what pain you are going through!!
I hope that your Republicosis abates, and goes away!

Take good good care, and healing thoughts to you as well.
Stay safe, get well, rest, and rest some more!! 20  35  20

  2. I don’t think I will try to imagine what you are going through, TC. I am glad you aren’t going through it alone, but have Wendy, and your medical team, and support from all of us.

Pretty solid reality from John Pavlovitz – ans worth watching through just for the punch line (Shhhh! Don’t give it away!)

I didn’t look at the comments, but I wouldn’t be surprised if all he|| broke loose after that.

Aaaaand – A new Randy Rainbow!

    • This, from “Kossack” f pie, is just history, but history told in such a way as to shine a light into the dark corners.

The King of England was head of The East India Company. By royal decree and British law that corporation operated tax free while the American colonial importers of tea were heavily taxed.

The Boston Tea Party was not a protest against taxation so much as a protest against government favoritism to a giant corporation. It was The East India Company’s tea that was thrown into Boston Harbor. It was the King’s tea.

The American Revolution was fought to free the colonies from the economic strangle hold of a giant corporation.

During the first century after the American Revolution corporations existed under tight regulation, were limited in their life span and required to show that their existence was in the public interest. These restrictions were whittled away during the Charter Mongering period in the late nineteenth century and the corporate strangle hold on America has tightened ever since.

The corporatist Tories never went away after the Revolution. Their modern day party is the GOP.

And another new one from the Lincoln Project –

      • Joanne: Spot on, John P! Well said.
Good song! Randy is adorable. Period.
        Lincoln Project: Nailed it!!

I forgot to put the new video out by Sarah Cooper, it came out yesterday.

        Thanks, Joanne for your post.

      • The Lincoln Project (a group of actual Republicans with morals) is knocking them out of the ballpark one after another!

Go George Conway et al – Keep ‘Em Coming!

  3. Sorry to hear that it has been like hel* for you suffering with a heavy case of Republicosis.
Please try and eat something, and stay hydrated.
Bless Wendy for being there for you.
Praying that you get to feeling better soon.
    Please take care, TomCat

  4. My Mom had a similar episode in the middle of the night at her Assisted Living Center.  I happened to be there on a visit, so I was to help clear her up, so we didn’t have to call an aide.

It happens.  We went back to bed and got a good nights sleep.

Hope your healthcare team will be able to readjust things to get you back on track.

  5. Ouch!  That’s really awful.  I hope that was/is your last such episode!
    Joanne’s Pavlovitz is wonderful.
I saw Randy yesterday, and he never fails to satisfy.
    The Lincoln Project rocks!
Sarah Cooper is new to me, and good.
Trump’s idiot ad is hitting my area, in Florida, being that it is a swing state: Pure Garbage!

  6. You must have felt horrible on different levels but I’m glad you asked WWWendy to come and that Wonder woman flew in to help you so promptly. As others have said, it happens, TomCat, and given how much your body has been put through it’s no surprise it happens. Painful, annoying, inconvenient…all true but also part of being human and in distress.

WWWendy has your back (Thanks, Wendy) and we’re here to support you in any way we can.

Get your strength back and have a good talk with the dietician. You need to find a new balance and the more input from all sides you have the sooner it’ll help you find it.

  7. How awful for you, TC!  BUT–you WILL get there!  We’ll ALL get there—come November, we’ll be cheering..not just the election results…but YOU feeling in fine fettle again, just as the TC should!  Very gentle hugs sent your way!  And…BIG THANKS to WWWWWendy!

  8. think RR #Distraction is maybe his best video/song ever….wishing you a speedy recovery….
