It’s that time of week again, so here are six video clips, from Bill’s show last night. Enjoy!
Monologue: Different Sh*t, Same Day
The reason the Fuhrer invoked the war powers act is so he can have a hamberder with his Lysol!
24 Things You Don’t Know About Joe Biden
I wish he hadn’t alluded to sexual harassment. While Joe is handling the accusation poorly, getting it properly resolved and behind him is not a laughing matter. Furthermore, Faux Noise is actually claiming he confessed to doing it.
Eric Holder on the 2020 Elections
I would love to see criminal Fuhrer Trump* dragged kicking and screaming from the White House, but I have less confidence in law enforcement’s will to do so than Holder does.
Bret Stephens: Lives vs. Lives
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Trump*, and Pence followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth, and with Trump* virus.
Matt Taibbi: Return of the Vampire Squid
If the so-called middle class bailout wasn’t really welfare for billionaires, aka tinkle down economics, Republicans would have never approved it.
What America needs is immunity from Trump*
Thanks Bill. That was a big one!
RESIST!!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
W/watch later on this evening.
Thanks! Tom.
I’ll be back after the opera
Monologue – The canned laughter helps, doesn’t it.
24 Things – I’d be interested to know what you think Joe should have done differently. What in his statement don’t you like? (And I thought the whole thing was rather ugly.)
Holder – Holder may well be contemplating hand-picked law enforcement. But as I say, I don’t want to look too closely into those plans. Bill is NOT helping by wanting to know too much.
Stephens – You may well be right. I still think Orange Judas is the Antichrist himself, and that the four riders are others. But it doesn’t make a whole lot of difference. I’ve been saying for years what we need is a new FDR Is that so difficult a concept to grasp?
Taibbi – There’s not a whole lot left of the middle class, sadly. And, yes, if it didn’t help big business, Republicans would not have allowed it to pass. The scandal is so obvious that some of the businesses which received “small business” loans have given them back. I assume those are the ones who want to stay in business assuming we return to anything like normal.
New Rule – I don’t think Bill understands that we are working on COVID from BOTH ends at once. The caution is because we know so little. The more we know, the sooner we will have defenses (including our immune systems,) I think I might want to live to see that.
Joe did not respond at first. That looks guilty. Then he suggested that both Reade and her complaint should be investigated. That puts the onus on the so-called victim. A more neutral statement to investigate her complaint would have served him better.
In Biden’s and my day, the grab and grope was SOP for men, and the slap in the face was the standard response from women. In my day, my face was slapped on multiple occasions, so it could have happened, but given the social changes since then, I’m not inclined to make a big deal of it.
That said, I think it more likely that Reade’s bank account may have been stuffed with billionaire bucks.
His suggestion is that investigating be done by “responsible news organizations.” that suggests to me Woodward and Bernstein (or as close as can be come.) He also suggested that if there were a timely complain it should be in the National Archives, and ” I am requesting that the Secretary of the Senate ask the Archives” to look.Would you have thought of the National Archives if he hadn’t brought it up? I wouldn’t. And this would be evidence against him he is asking the Archives to look for
It did take a while, yes. If I were accused of something sensational which I knew I hadn’t done, I wouldn’t respond very fast, because I wouldn’t be ready for it. If I were guilty, I would be ready and would jump right in – and probably respond something like Brett Kavanaugh. Particularly if I had been thoroughly vetted by the Obana campaign team only 12 years prior (as David Axelrod points out.)
Thanks so much for posting this, TomCat, but you’ll know the recipe by now: I’ll have to wait until I have more time tonight.
Monologue: for Pence’s “barefaced lies”.
24 Things About Joe Biden: Sad but so true: “You think I’m in cognitive decline? You should see the other guy.
Eric Holder: I’m with you on this one, TomCat, I don’t think law enforcement’s has will to drag Trump out; not while Barff and all the other minions installed by Trump are still in office.
Bret Stephens: Herd immunity won’t be an option until it’s clear that COVID-19 will protect you from re-infection until we have a vaccine and for the time being research point to possible re-infection soon after recovery.
Matt Taibbi: Blame the coronavirus for a 30% reduction of your economy, why don’t you? Bailing out Wall Street has nothing to do with it, right?
New Rule: The latest research tends to show that people who die from a COVID-19 infection are those who have an over-active response of their immune system to pneumonia caused by the virus. This is one reason why, in some cases, Remdesivir may help by actually inhibiting the immune system.
Scientists have been warning for a long time now that children need to build up their immune system by playing outside instead of killing every possible (more regular) germ with disinfectant. We need to find a balance somehow.
Thanks and Hurry Hugs to all!
