Armed members of the Republican Party, took-up and loaded their assault weapons, donned their Nazi and pro-Trump* paraphernalia, and terrorized the Michigan State Capital in Lansing, over their protest opposing protecting the people of Michigan against Trump* virus. They demonstrated that the Republican Party is the greatest terrorist threat faced by America today.
Hundreds of protesters, some armed, gathered inside Michigan’s state capitol on Thursday as state lawmakers debated the Democratic governor’s request to extend her emergency powers to combat coronavirus.
A tightly packed crowd of protesters, some carrying rifles, attempted to enter the floor of the legislative chamber, and were held back by a line of state police and capitol staff, according to video footage posted by local journalists.
“Let us in! Let us in!” the protesters chanted, as they stood shoulder-to-shoulder inside the statehouse. Few of them were wearing face masks.

These bugnuts are so obsesses with personal freedom that they forget their liberty ends where the next person’s nose begins. All they are doing is exacerbating the COVID-19 pandemic. Serve ’em right if they all come down with it.
During the flu pandemic of 1918-19, a group called the Anti-Mask League arose in San Francisco. They got the city council to relax regulations on wearing masks in public. As a result, within a month flu cases in San Francisco nearly doubled.

I have something to add. All Democratic governors are being called Hitler and Nazi and what have you, but none is being hit as hard as Gretchen Whitmer – the only woman. Sure, this is projection, but it’s not just projection – it’s also naked misogyny.

They all should be led to straight jail, with their flipping leader being the first one in line.
I like the “Tightly packed crowd,” part of it! But, on the other hand, these pawns will not just go off and die while hidden under a rock, they will infect many others, with the “Hoax” virus.
If Michigan’s Democratic governor, Gretchen Whitmer, was indeed Hitler these neo-fascists would be doing exactly what she ordered and stay in lockdown.
These people shouldn’t be allowed on the streets at any time, not during a lockdown and not after. But with the Republican majority on Michigan’s congress blocking Gretchen Whitmer from extending the social-distancing rules and giving this handful of idiots what they want, we all know where the real problem lies, don’t we?
I was reading this morning about Michigan . . . despicable putting people at risk. I know that this not Christian, but I hope every one of the protestors becomes infected and is forced into quarantine. Unfortunately, they will infect other innocent people.
I also read that as a result of protestors in Georgia I think, the number of new infections has increased dramatically. Perhaps Freya can comment on that.
