It’s that time of week again, and here are three video clips from Sam’s show last night.  Enjoy!!

COVID-19 Is the World’s Worst Coworker

Here in Portland, some workers are so desperate that out of work strippers are offering topless food delivery. I would get regular food delivery (without boobs), if my cancer allowed me to eat the food.

The Furries Are On to Something

When Bernie was in Portland, we learned that birds prefer him.  Anyone is a better choice than criminal Fuhrer Trump*!

The Episode of ER No One Asked To Be A Part Of

Trump* virus sufferers should be isolated in a Trump* hotel. Which Trump* Hotel? Whichever one Trump* is in!

While Sam’s show was not as funny as usual, criminal Fuhrer Trump* and his virus have made the world a much less funny place of late.

RESIST!!

  1. W/watch ltr on w/hubs.
    Thanks, Tom.

  2. I – I was thinking that testing as a tool to control a pandemic is a little like using TNR to keep feral cat colonies viable. If you miss one queen…. I might add, that student attitude is just about 100% Traitor Tot’s fault. With him in the White House, you really can’t believen the government. Too bad they got this one backwards.

II – The problem with wanting others to share one’s experience is that there are always some who just can’t. Our experiences are shaped, not just by what actually happens, but by the way we internalize what happens. Some experts have said things like, siblings do not grow up in the same household. Objectively, the second child is born ito a different family group than the first child was, so that makes sense. But even twins may not be born into the same household – for reasons internal to them. Not being able to see that is how people can reject groups which are different. It’s not so easy to do that when you realize that everyone is different.

III – Even some corporations are trying. I don’t doubt that they are motivated mostly by PR, but that’s OK if it helps.

  3. Thanks for the 🐝🐝🐝, TomCat.

Re your remark she wasn’t as funny as usual, I had the same reaction to almost all comedy I saw this week. First I thought it was the gloomy subject that prevailed in most, but then I realized all were made without their live audience for which some actually apologized.

Without an audience has two effects: the comedians can’t interact with it and get no feedback in rehearsals which helps them cut material that doesn’t work, and we don’t get to hear the laughter to cue us. I really believe we’ve been conditioned to think a show funnier with the audience laughing a lot (even if it’s canned laughter), even when we not necessarily laugh at every joke ourselves.

    • That is so true.  And not just f comedy.  I’ve heard conductors, notably Joann Falletta, say that the audiences just hve no idea how much they contribute to a performance with their presence and energy.

    • That is an excellent point, Lona.  As a public speaker, I depend on my audience for cues to guide my path.  I had not thought of that. 11

  4. Have to agree with you regarding the COVID-19 and tRump’s meaning less daily updates, there isn’t much fun or enjoyment in our World of today.
Gloomy times are hard to speak of.

  5. Thanks, TGIF Hugs, and prayers that you remain Trump* virus free. 17
