As a cancer sufferer in my 70s, who has to go to the hospital frequently for treatment and testing, I’ve had a hell of a time getting PPE too. When I hear a provider, right here in my town, having the same trouble, I know the person to blame is that asshole* at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave!

Gawd. I watched Rachel last night, and quite frankly, it’s very, very scary!
I’m glad that she got all this info out, as well as Tom and our friends here who post.
dt should be arrested, and thrown out of the WH as our citizens are panicking with nothing re: medical assistance or words of comfort from this pos. Instead…dt is being a jerk yelling/being rude to reporters.

Yes, she is the best in the business. I did see the first one. (Is that “malaria drug,” or does that “malaria drug” perchance contain quinine? Just wondering.) There are people telling the truth, of course, but sometimes even the truth isn’t helpful. Like CDC telling the truth that masks are in short supply (and people stealing them from hospitals and doctors’ offices does not help) and then suggesting if ou health worker) can’t get a mask, you can try a bandana.
There are people trying to make masks at home – which unfortunately don’t work really well. I even saw an allusion to an article about how to make a mask from an old bra (not helpful for women who are well-endowed, even if it did work, and it doesn’t, no better than home-sewn from new fabric.).
Creativity is great – but whe you are already in the middle of a pandemic, it’s a little late to start being creative.
Rachel #1: Pure blithering propagandistic lies! This one is immunized, does not believe anything he, or Pence, says, about the virus, or anything. The wonderful Republican ads, showing off his lies, are just that, wonderful!
Rachel #2: I could see her appear to want to scream at the camera, something like, “What the hell is this orange bozo doing?” Or, something similar. For every death, one can, apparently, assume 800 cases as yet unknown!
Rachel #3: “Dystopian” indeed! Is this what Bannon had in mind (I know, that’s an assumption) being in favor of breaking the establishment to crumbs, wanting anarchy? “On the ground,” NO! “…shortage du jour.” Hadn’t thought of that!
Chloroquine has some serious disadvantages, like death, for some.
And Dumpy just blathers on.
I am afraid that Italy is going to come apart at the seams. One of my next door neighbors, a young Italian woman living here, has a 68 y/o mother, “stuck” in St. Petersberg, who has been in, and out, of the hospital, for months. Mom has been aching to go home, to Italy, but has not had clearance to leave, because of her pulmonary issues: She may be very lucky, up to now, that she’s not gone home.

Rachel’s frustration visibly was at the boiling point; I do hope she doesn’t let it get to her as much as it seems to do because she’s taken on the responsibility to keep America up to date. Unlike her colleagues who just pass on the lie- and tantrum-filled “updates” Trump & Pence keep pulling out of their a$$es.
If there’s one industry that needs stimulating, besides that of ventilators, it’s that of the surgical mask producers for health care workers and people at high risk. And with masks, I mean the truly effective masks that prevent contagion, not the paper towels on a string.
Rachel is the most trustworthy reporter on any medium for my money. Her bio is impeccable, Hannity barely got out of high school but she received a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Stanford University. She earned her doctorate in political science at Oxford University, which she attended on a Rhodes Scholarship. That’s from her official bio on MSNBC.
Trump is failing worse than any leader in our history, maybe IN history. The lies and obfuscations are beyond belief at this point. I know he is pandering to his base, but THEY are the ones who will die from his lack of due diligence. It’s proven he and his party knew this was coming (I wonder how many others used that information to profit apart from Burr and Loefler) a long time ago. And did nothing. We are not as well prepared as virtually every other advanced society on the planet.

Which was debunked inside an hour by a doctor who said those two drugs in combination would KILL people, they cause heart issues, arrhythmia and other issues. Besides which, you can’t just walk into Walgreens and get them, they’re prescription only and NOT the answer. I think what he is doing now is an impeachable offense. I certainly hope it is enough to sweep the republicans out of the Oval Office and the Senate. We need leadership, none of them are that. This is what happens when you elect a con man to an office he is not qualified to visit, let alone lead.
Hello and well said to all of you above! MSNBC folks esp touched since a crew member has now died from Covid-45 pandemic + fustercluck. Rachel is fantastic, Chris Hayes, Joy Reid, Lawrence all great. No huge sacrifice to social distance when u live in Trumptown, was pretty much doing that anyways, except now library is closed. About time 4 weekly drive-by of yahoos to scream from pickup truck at house—-couldn’t make any of this up—–yes the police know—-be as safe as possible all
It sucks that libraries are closed. But there is always Project Gutenberg. Of course that all has to be public domain, so there isn’t anything really new, but a lot is still well worth a read, or a re-read.
