I’m sorry, but I need to take the day off. On the whole, my blended diet has been going very well, but my eggs and potatoes blend is a total failure. It gave me screaming heartburn that is so severe that I cannot concentrate on research. I should be back in the saddle tomorrow. Hugs to all.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
5:27 Oh, great, just what you didn’t need – ginger. Get some rest and feel better.
Cold here today – expected high temperature 22°F. No precip, though. Wind, but dying down as the day goes on.
Cartoon – I exercised mine in January.
Dinner – well, looks aren’t everything. If that’s green chili, it probably tasted decent.
I have a little something ready to post, so I’ll put it up.
Cartoon: Did done for another year. lol
Hope that you start feeling better and soon. Good that you are taking the day off, get your rest, and take good care. Thanks, Tom.
*Spent all morning, and just got back from urgent care, (quite a waiting list), but I gashed my shin getting into the tub this a.m. The metal shower (doors) insert wouldn’t move…so it decided to show me who’s boss. Wrong move on my part. Several butterfly stitches. I think I’ll live through it all though. Glad I didn’t have far to drive either. Thank Gawd.
26 years living here, and WTH?
Oh, Pat, I’m so sorry! Apparently legs are a problem out here (my knee is finally starting to improve.) I’m so glad you had it professionally treated. Would WD-40 help (the door, not you, of course)?
The metal door thread is where the battle is at. I did not lift my leg over the side of the tub area high enough.
Since I didn’t lift up far enough, I hit the metal insert, so shin gash. WD40 is a blessing, isn’t it? Not in this case, but in others. Wish I could of used WD40 to stop the bleeding (at the time) though.
Got a bottle of Acetaminophen 500 mg on the way home to ease the pain. Not being one to medicate much, I’m not feeling the pain so much.
So, this happening today, and the dentist tomorrow a.m. Can my week get any better? LOL
Thanks, Joanne for your caring and concern.
From tomorrow afternoon on, I bet your week WILL get better!
Hopefully….
Yes, it will. (I think).
I’m so over this…..lol
Thanks, Nameless.
Sorry to hear about your shin injury. Glad you were able to get to urgent care. I hope it heals quickly for you. I’m like you when it comes to medication. Only when absolutely necessary. Take care.
Colleen: TY! for your concerns.
Your shin may have healed by the time I get to comment, but I wish you good healing and no more pain anyway, Pat.
Thank you, Lona for your note/concern.
Pat, running behind everyone else, I’m so sorry and hope your leg is fully recovered.
Cartoon: Once a year.
Dinner: Makes me think of Dr. Seuss green soup and ham.
Sure hope your heartburn eases up for you. I’d avoid the egg concoction.
Hope you’re able to get some good rest today.
Take care. Thanks TomCat
Hope your pain eases up – and soon!
Dealing with the 16th A. will be my March project.
I’m w/ Colleen: Your evening meal looks exactly like my split pea and ham soup that I make in huge batches. (Well, other than chunks of ham being visible in mine.)
Pat, sorry about your injury, lease take care of it, and you!
TC, my neighbor of Asian Indian descent, by way of Guiana, made me some great pea soup, with turmeric in it a little while ago; looked just like yours. Feel better.
Thanks! Mitch for your concern about my mishap.
Still hurts, but I’ll survive. lol
A lot of people don’t know what the 16th Amendment is. If they did, they’d hate it. Maybe if it said that income below a certain level – which could be adjusted for inflation – could not be taxed, it wouldn’t be so bad.
2:58 Ginger is supposed to help against nausea, but I doubt it would do you any good, TomCat.
Cartoon: I didn’t get the “exercise rights under” when the 16th amendment is about federal income tax. I didn’t think many Americans wanted to exercise that right by paying that tax, but perhaps it has something to do with the cap for lower incomes?
Supper: Everything blended turns into pea-soup, does it? That’s a very popular soup in winter-time in The Netherlands. I hope no other experimental blends get your heartburn going so badly, my friend.
The idea, is stat since we pay taxes, the government belongs to us.
I would blend the eggs and potatoes separate while they are hot and eat them that way. Make enough for just one meal.
Great idea, Jerry! I’ll try that!
Last night’s dinner was blended Progresso Italian Wedding Soup ans saltines. I don’t think it has any peas in it.
Thanks and Hump Day Hugs to all.
