It’s a very busy day, here in the CatBox. WWWendy worked late at her night job, so she’ll be a bit late today. We have a ton of stuff to do. Happy Sunday.
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Today’s took me 3:24 (average 5:27). To do it, click here. How did you do?
Cartoon:
Short Takes:
From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): Sen. Bernie Sanders Is The Projected Winner Of The Nevada Democratic Caucus
Kudos to Bernie, and sad condolences to Liz! I’ll post the delegates total, when Nevada is done counting. RESIST!!
From YouTube (CNN Channel): Anderson Cooper on Rod Blagojevich claim: Just nuts
Blago comparing himself to Nelson Mandela is like comparing a steaming pile of shit to a Rose. Blago is calling himself a ‘Trumpocrat’. He’s no kind of …crat. The way he talks and acts, he’s an dishonorary Republican, like that other famous Illinois political criminal: Chicago’s Mayor Richard Daley. RESIST!!
Also from YouTube (CNN Channel): Warren insults Bloomberg after Nevada caucuses
While her candidacy is in deep doo doo, we owe Liz a major debt of gratitude for exposing Bloomberg to America. Her insults are far less than he deserves. RESIST!!
From YouTube (a blast from the past): The Mamas And The Papas – California Dreamin’. Audio Gold Song ful HD.mp4
Ah… the memories! RESIST!!
Vote Blue!!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
‘Toon: Back in the days when the sick underbelly of the country was still the underbelly.
MSNBC: To bad the frigging DNC did not honor Sanders’ last time around.
CNN/Cooper: Whatever Blago. claims about his status is going be be BS? He owes Dumpy, BIG TIME, and was not convicted because he was such a good scout, in the first place. Donny is showing his sycophants that he will support them even if they are the ones who shoot someone on 5th Ave.!
CNN/Warren: Telling it like it is!
BFTP: Dreaming is not going to help…RESIST! Not that I do not love the Mamas and the Papas.
5:58 Well, that’s bright and I guess cheery. Grumpy cat would disapprove. (When blended, the seeds taste just like peanut butter.)
I hope you get everything comfortably done and can rest. Best to WWWendy WW. I can’t do any better than to chime in on agreement with what Nameless said yesterday.
Andy the cat is now running for President. While on the campaign trail, he – encounters – AG Barr. Must be seen.
Cartoon – Yes. That was a different time. It could not have been ratified before than – and probably, sadly, could not get ratified today if it needed to. I was a freshman in college then, and not old enough to vote, but already interested.
MSNBC- I had heard that in an email. I’d far rather see Bernie as the nominee, or even just winning any given caucus, than Bloomberg or Biden. Remember , it isn’t over till it’s over.
CNN – OMG, yes. Go Anderson! Notice Blago, like Scott Walker and many others,, has dead eyes – there is nothing there. Maybe he really is a vampire.
CNN2 – We, and by we I meas the entire US and maybe the world, need to have a talk about what the word “insult” means. Does any statement of negative content constitute and insult? A question similar to the question, does any false information constitute a lie? I may be alone in this, but I feel that the term insult carries a connotation of being gratuitous. Sharing simple facts which are negative, even damningly negative – that’s not an insult. That’s just the truth. Somewhat OT, Colorado comes in on 3/3 now. I already voted and have verified my ballot has been received and accepted for counting. I’m sure I’m far from the only vote for Liz.
Past – Having been born and raised in California, I didn’t really get it at the time. Despite Colorado’s reputation for snow, many of not most of our winter days are as described – brown leaves hanging on, gray skies, no precip, just cold (maybe with wind.) It makes more sense now.
Cartoon: Yep. Didn’t know much about this though.
MSNBC: Welp. Wish Warren got it, but the numbers talk.
CNN1: Excellent video of Anderson putting on the gloves and winning (bigtime) with blago. Cool, calm, and collected, WTG, Anderson for the takedown! (he (B) deserves it).
CNN2: Love Ms. Warren. Direct and forthright. Awesome!
BFTP: Loved the M’s and P’s. Talented group with the vocals. I was bummed out when Mama Cass passed on, she was only 32. Excellent vibes and times.
Hi Wendy, hope all is good with you. Hope that you have a good day, TC. Take good care, get your rest, (nap) and have a good day!
This just in: “dt is the one pushing hard for Senator Bernie Sanders the hardest, knowing he’s the easiest to beat. (with Putin’s help of course, that’s a given). ~ Lee M. ~
2. “Re: Giuliani – “you know a Republican is in bad shape when ever Faux doesn’t want him on the air.” ~ Gretchen B. ~
3. “Trump’s a legend only in his mind.” ~ Greg M. ~
4. “Stone – “3 years 4 months for lying to Congress, threatening a witness, (AND a judge), impeding an investigation and betraying the country. Crystal Moon – 5 YEARS in prison for mistakenly casting a ballot, OR a Georgia teen with no criminal record gets 5 years for stealing $100. shoes?? *pb
3:14 Brightly coloured flowers always cheer me up; I hope they do the same for you, TomCat.
MSNBC: It’s official now, Bernie took Nevada, Liz is holding on because she believes many in Nevada voted early, that is before her exceptional performance in the debate which brought her back in the race. All now depends on South Carolina for her.
CNN1: Kudos to Anderson Cooper for pushing Rod Blagojevich’s claim he was a political prisoner back into the cesspool where it came from along with all the other sh$t that spewed from Blagojevich’s mouth.
As far as I understand it, and people tend to forget that, a pardon or a commute of a sentence doesn’t exonerate convicted felons of their crime, but all those who have been pardoned by Trump, and Trump himself of course, act as if they have been exonerated.
Webster: If someone who has committed a crime is pardoned, that person is officially forgiven and their punishment is stopped.
Free dictionary: commutation of sentence, in criminal law, is the reduction of a sentence for a criminal act by action of the executive head of the government. Like pardon, commutation of sentence is a matter of grace, not of right; it is distinguished from pardon, however, in that the conviction of crime is not nullified (= not regain the right to vote and to hold various positions of public trust).
CNN2: Liz, unfortunately, may not be the Democrat’s choice to oppose Trump in the election, but so far she did a hell of a good job warning Democrats against Bloomberg and the 1% he represents. It’s sad that people can’t see past her necessary attacks on those bankers and CEOs and see how many other qualities she would bring to the White House that would make her a good president. Let’s hope she can (and wants to) put those qualities to further use in the Senate.
BFTP: Great song that aged very well. A sentiment that still speaks to me.
Unfortunately my house cleaning has been a major time-consuming burden. Consequently I was 6 minutes behind your yesterday’s Open Thread “Thank You”.
So I’m going to re-post my late reply here:
It’s what none of us wanted to hear, but it’s probably what we all feared.
It’s a lot for you to process, so take your time and use as many resources and support systems as you can muster – including all of us.
I would encourage you to speak with your PCP or oncologist to inquire about meds to help with the pain. We’ve come a long way in pain management, and as a general rule people battling cancer should not also have to battle its pain.
I appreciate your keeping us updated, and hope you will continue to feel comfortable doing so in the future. But that’s your call, so do w/e you feel is best.
Rest assured, we’ll be here for you – so don’t be shy in asking for help.
And I’ll repeat my response also …
And I’ll repeat my response too!
Thanks, Nameless. You may rest assured that I am a strong believer in palliative care. Being a pain is far more my forte than having a pain.
Cartoon: I was only 10 and not familiar with it.
MSNBC: Was surprised that Bernie came out the winner. I’m still one who’s hoping for Ms. Warren.
I will have to get my ballot filled out and mailed, since I won’t be able to take it in on March 3, due to my upcoming operation this coming Friday.
CNN1: Anderson Cooper did a fantastic job knocking rod blagojevich. Liked the way Anderson kept throwing all the punches without even allowing rod to respond.
CNN2: Ms. Warren spot on. Appreciate her honesty.
BFTP: Great song. Loved the Mamas and Papas.
Hope you’re doing okay, TC. That you and Wendy got things done.
Take care. Praying for you.
Thanks TomCat
Have a good day and get those jobs out of the way!xthen, relax!.🌷🥴😗
Thanks and way late OGIM Hugs to all!
