It’s a tired day here in the CatBox, and I’d like to get an early head start on my nap as Store to Door is delivering groceries some tome this afternoon. Have a Republican flush day.
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Today’s took me 3:45 (average 5:34). To do it, click here. How did you do?

Here are the endoscope photos I promised you.
Barf Bag Alert!!
Short Takes:
From The New Yorker: Shortly after the Democratic Presidential debate on Wednesday night, aides to Michael Bloomberg announced that he would spend ten billion dollars to buy an entirely new personality.
Acknowledging that some attributes of the former New York mayor’s new personality have yet to be ironed out, campaign advisers indicated that the eleven-figure outlay would be used to purchase warmth, empathy, and humanity.
Additionally, billions of Bloomberg’s war chest will be used to remove several unappetizing qualities from his current personality, including arrogance, touchiness, and a glaring inability to hide his contempt for others.
Amen, Andy. Straight news! RESIST!!
From NY Times: President Trump on Wednesday named Richard Grenell, the ambassador to Germany who quickly antagonized the establishment after arriving in Berlin in 2018, to be the acting director of national intelligence overseeing the nation’s 17 spy agencies.
By choosing Mr. Grenell, who has little experience in intelligence or in running a large bureaucracy, the president signaled that he wants a trusted, aggressive leader atop an intelligence community that he has long viewed with suspicion and at times gone to war against.
As ambassador, Mr. Grenell made public statements that some German officials took as expressing opposition to the government there, an extraordinary intervention into domestic affairs that diplomats typically avoid. He attacked what he called “failed” open-border policies in Germany, which has resettled hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, and criticized Berlin’s stances on Iran, military spending and Chinese investment in global telephone networks. He also expressed an eagerness to empower conservatives throughout Eur
What we have here is an appointment that exemplifies Fuhrer Trump* and the Republican Reich: a Director of National Intelligence, who is completely devoid of intelligence. RESIST!!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
6:03 I will leaf it at that.
Spoke with Carrie B last night – she hasn’t been on PP fpr quite a while because of dental mayhem, but she has all her teeth ow (and is getting used to them, so it may still be a while). She wanted me to make sure you know she is praying for you and will pray a little extra at this time.
New Randy Rainbow! (Very timely!)
Cartoon – Oh, yeah.
I still say you’re beautiful inside – because the inside I mean can’t be photographed – it’s in your head and heart.
TNY – He’d need one, that’s for sure.
NYT – A director of intelligence who only wants intelligence on the opposition. Weaponizing the intelligence services is what we have.
Past – I do remember this. Nice harmonies.
My Best and “Go Broncos” to Nanny Carrie! 🏈
Cartoon: Oh, ick!! Interesting that hair-mop Frump is a germOphobe but will let something like that happen.
That’s NOT a BBA! Tom!! It’s what inside you, and to get medical observations and help!
NYer: Sure…why not? Good idea for Bloomberg. I don’t know if it would help with him purchasing some personalities as listed, but it’s worth a try. lol, Andy!
NYT: They could have just shortened it to say….a new bootlicker is in town, a sycophant to dt. ugh!
BFTP: Great song!!
Glad that you’re taking time out of your schedule to get some rest and a nap. Take good, good care, and Thanks, Tom.

2. “Those pardons by dt would also mean admitting they were guilty of what they were accused of, crimes benifitting to dt.” ~ Dan H. ~
3. “We have an asset far more powerful waiting in the wings to assist our (D) nominee. A former beloved President – Barack Obama. He’s worth 10x’s all Bloomberg’s money.” ~ Joanne W. ~
‘Toon: Oh, is Putin divulging? Or is it simply time to unleash a flood on him?
TC, what is it that is showing up at 5:00 O’Clock in #’s 7 and 8? Is it worrisome?
Andy: Perfect!
NYT: I can not agree more with your assessment.
BFTP: It is the Time of the Season, to resist!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad for Carrie B.
3:38 I usually start without looking at the picture and I had the feeling I was working on varicose veins for the longest time.
Cartoon: Trump’s destroyed all that Obama had built by now, so showering a bed Obama had slept on may not hold his interest like it used to.
Your very special pictures: #7 and #8 are of what causes you trouble, I think? Or is that the hernia you/they mentioned earlier after your scan? Or is what they believed to be a hernia in fact a tumour? Sorry, pictures like that always raise a lot of questions with me.
TNY: Spot on Andy, except that Bloomberg is so very like Trump that his egotism and narcissism prevent him from seeing that it would be good to spend some money on acquiring some warmth, empathy, and humanity to be painted on. It’ll go skin deep only, of course.
NYT: Liz has to adapt her plan for cleaning up the White Hous, the cabinet and everything else Trump got his grubby little fingers on every day. Ther’s no end to the mess this man leaves behind.
BFTP: Great song, has a timeless quality.
I thought it was in #5, but I’m no specialist.
Cartoon: Wish it would
TC Endoscope Photos: I see what Mitch and Lona are mentioning. Is that the tumor?
TNY: Great suggestion for Bloomberg, Andy.
NYT: tRump and dumb choices….I agree with your comment, TC.
BFTP: Great song.
I tried to reply to Joanne yesterday about her health, but I see it didn’t go anywhere. What am I doing wrong?
I typed in your comment and hit the reply on her comment and there wasn’t anything there?
The EKG went well this morning. I thank you, Joanne and Pat for the caring thoughts.
Hope you got an early nap today.
Take care. Thanks TomCat
Thank you for thinking of me! From your description, you took steps 1 and 2 but not 3. After you hit the reply on the comment you want to reply to, and there doesn’t appear to be anything there, you still have to hit “submit at the bottom of the nothing. And then you’ll see it.
If you do enough of them and they are different lengths, you’ll start to notice that the more you put in it, yhe bigger the nothing that you see before submitting.
I’m going to try it right now and see if I got it down. Thanks Joanne.
You’re very welcome! Looks like it worked!
I’m glad your EKG went well.
Thanks TomCat. Now it will be trying not to go crazy for the next 7 days.
I don’t blame you. I feel the same way about chemo and radiation.
Thanks and TGIF hugs to all.
Since several of you asked for interpretations of the endoscope pics, its a tumor, not a hernia. It’s visible at 5:00 in frames 7 – 9. It is probably serious. The gastroenterologist told me “it looks malignant”. I also received a call from Megan, my PCP, yesterday. She wanted to let me know how “very sorry she is to see my test results”. Maybe I’m being pessimistic, but I’m expecting robocalls from morticians next. Hugs!
Do you have any feel for when the biopsy results may be available?
Now. See Open Thread today.
Good evening Mr Tom cat.🌷💌
Good Evening.
