I’m feeling so moist and sticky that my wheelchair sores are back. Fortunately, it’s a WWWendy night, as I’m a VERY stinky TomCat. From Politico: …one leading Democratic presidential candidate, Elizabeth Warren, just days ago unveiled a plan that, among other things, describes how she would move quickly to staff the government if she wins the White House.
In the plan, Warren voices the fears of many Democrats. “This will be no ordinary transition between administrations,” she states. “Unlike previous transitions, we will not be able to assume good faith cooperation on the part of the outgoing administration.”
That Democrats are making transition-related moves more than nine months before Election Day underscores not only their distrust of Trump but also the reality that taking over the U.S. government is a mammoth task with high stakes.
Any government is especially vulnerable during a transition of power, and Democrats who deal with national security are among those most concerned about a Trump-to-Democrat handover.

RR – Now, Robert Reich is someone who actually does tell it like it is. Too bad so many people don’t see it.
CNN – Seeing as Trump (and Kushner) want nothing more than for Palestinians to vanish, I don’t know how any plan of theirs could possibly be acceptable to Palestinians. “Conditions.” Probably very much like post-Reconstructions literacy tests? (And don’t even get me started on Pompeo and Kelly.)
Past – I don’t know how anyone of our age could have missed this one (and many younger tha us.) It’s analogous to Milton’s “Paradise Lost” and T. S. Eliot’s “The Waste Land” in that it attempts to encapsulate (at least a particular segment of) American culture of the time. It’s still being discussed and analyzed and re-analyzed.

Mitch, you raise some interesting points. Is narcissism truly a disorder primarily of the ego, as it looks like from outside? If not, is it primarily a disorder of the superego, or of the id, or is it a more-ore-less equal combination of two or more? It’s definitely true that Il Douche is both unwilling and unable to analyze anything, least of all himself, and the ability to analyze resides in the ego,but that cuts both ways.
In Trump’s* case, all his mental illnesses are sphincter-based.

It’s true that transitioning from *Rump to Any-Adult will be difficult. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves here.
That wasn’t a “Middle East Peace Plan” *Rump & Bibi cooked up – it was a “Middle East PIECE Plan” that let’s Israel take pieces of what rightfully belongs to the Palestinians. This includes annexing all settlements and the Jordan Valley in the West Bank.
Bibi is just as much a crook as *Rump – just not in the “business” as long and not as dumb as *Rump. But they’re both EVIL!

Sorry to hear about having so much rain there in Oregon. Wish we’d get some more here in San Diego. We still have rainy days in February and March.
I got a call this morning from the Oncology office, telling me that the doctor is going to be out and unavailable to do my surgery on February 7th. That they had to reschedule it for Friday February 28th. She was going to be out of town for a couple of weeks. So it was a stressful day today, because the EKG I was suppose to go in for tomorrow, was rescheduled for February 20th. Here I had gotten ready to start avoiding my vitamins, herbals, teas, and certain foods this Friday. So now I will have to do all of that starting Friday February 21.
