Since Vladimir Putin [R-RU] and the Republican Reich helped Donald Trump* steal the White House, he hasn’t changed much. He has a penchant for saying whatever he thinks his audience want to here. On the campaign trail in 2016, his handlers knew that he could not endorse Paul Lyin’ Ryan’s standard Republican plan to gut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. If he had, he could never have gotten close enough to steal the election. However, at Davos, talking to fat cats, he forgot that he’s campaigning again, and said what he really thinks.
When President Trump suggested to an interviewer at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland that he would, “at some point,” look at cutting entitlement programs, his Democratic critics seized on the comments as evidence that Mr. Trump would gut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid in a second term.
“Even as the impeachment trial is underway, Trump is still talking about cutting your Social Security,” Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, the Democratic leader, said at the beginning of a news conference that was ostensibly about the Senate impeachment trial.
The Democratic super PAC Priorities USA posted on Twitter about Mr. Trump’s remarks, and others contrasted his statement with his 2016 campaign pledge not to touch entitlement programs… [emphasis added]

Is President Donald Trump Open To Making Medicare Cuts?
This was an obvious gaffe. While running off at the mouth, Fuhrer Trump* confirmed his support for Republican dogma. He and the rest of the Republican Reich want to give seniors the RepubliCare Death Benefit. If seniors can’t pay for care, or for rent or for food, Republicans will allow to die for free! However, they will charge for corpse disposal.
RESIST!!

All he cares about is himself. Doesn’t matter if our elderly, sick, poor suffer over this,
he doesn’t give a hoot. He (dt) makes me ill. Seriously!
This is not a Trump thing but a Republican thing, going back at least to Reagan (probably back to Roosevelt, actually.) And in one way it’s not even a poor/elderly/disabled thing. When Social Security is held separate from, and left alone by, government (as it was designed to be and I believe the law still requires), it prospers. And they cannot bear anything that demonstrates that government WORKS when operated as designed. They desperately need to break it. It’s an obsession.

I think their heads are going to be on pikes whether they vote to convict, or whether they vote to acquit. Some of them may win re-election one more time, but in effect, the career of every current Republican Senator is over.

Even when almost cut-off from reality, Trump knows that there’s an impeachment trial going on in “his background” and that he needs to keep Republican senators on his side right now. So, he throws out some Republican memes and the media take the bait, and probably the GOP too.
His dementia has Trump living more in the moment each day, and as a pathological liar and narcissist it never bothered him that blabbing out things like this might inconvenience his staff or his campaign anyway, so he’ll make something up if and when he’s called out on it. By then he’ll probably maintain he never said that, and to him that is true; he has no recollection of it, no matter how many times the evidence on video is pointed out to him.
I agree that tRump doesn’t give a damn about the elderly, sick or disabled.
It’s frustrating to read how the R leaders of the past were out to cut or end Social Security.
Doesn’t mean a thing that we worked out butts off contributing our share to S.S.
tRump can take his evil thoughts and stick it where it doesn’t shine.

He followed up by floating Reagan era proposal to turn Medicaid into block grants (another way of reducing services paid for by states)…Also trying to repeat the Reagan disaster of reevaluations for SSD that had repercussions at local and state levels for every agency and organization serving persons with disabilities with total chaos harming millions.Medicare is the one program serving persons with disabilities I’ve yet to see his concrete proposal
Vote blue no matter who in 2020! The Democrats are far from saintly, and as guilty of party politics as the GOP – but we desperately need a regime change!
