From The New Yorker: In a positive sign for the former New York mayor, a new poll indicates that an increasing number of Americans would vote for Michael Bloomberg if that would make him stop airing campaign ads.
The poll found that sixteen per cent of those surveyed were “somewhat likely” to vote for Bloomberg if that would convince him to stop airing ads, twenty-one per cent were “very likely” to do so for that reason, and a whopping thirty-three per cent “strongly agreed” with the statement “Seriously, I’ll do whatever he wants—please, just make them stop right now.”
By contrast, only eight per cent said that they would vote for Bloomberg’s fellow-billionaire Tom Steyer if that would make Steyer stop airing his ads.
At Bloomberg campaign headquarters, in New York, the campaign’s chief strategist, Harland Dorrinson, said that the poll numbers made it clear that “Mike’s ads are having exactly their desired effect.”
Dang Andy! If I had a nickel for every time I’ve tuned out a Bloomberg ad, we could both retire! RESIST!!

The “Bernie Bros” should not be attacking Liz. They should be attacking Trump*. Bernie owes Liz an apology for some of his followers’ Republican-like, anti-progressive behavior, and he needs to muzzle his troops. CNN is useless for their insistence on equalizing both sides! RESIST!!

TNY – Now, that’s ironic. Especially considering I’ve read that Bloomberg doesn’t want the Presidency, but rather, a platform to spread his message. Evidently he’s doing that – very badly.
CNN – The insult here is not to Liz. It is to American voters. And, sadly, I can’t be sure it isn’t accurate. It’s no discredit to Liz (or Kamala or Amy or Victoria Woodhull or anyone else) if the electorate is so steeped in misogyny that they WILL NOT vote for her or any woman. And that is something that is extremely difficult to establish through polling, because what the guilty parties always say is, sure, I’d vote for a woman – just not THIS woman. Liz is my candidate and would IMO be a better President than any man running. And, if she wins the nomination, we need to campaign as if the slander is true – not trying to argue against it, but in GOTV. Even if we think we couldn’t possibly be doing any more, we will have to do more. That said, I’m sure it was still hurtful and an apology would definitely be in order. And as for reining in the Bernie Bros – at least some of whom I am sure are not genuine (and, you know, it’s tough to rein in people who claim to be supporting you but actually just want to spread chaos, because if that’s the case they will not listen to you or do what you say) – absolutely he should do anything possible to get them to STFU, and also the one thing he definitely can do – disavow them when they are like that.
Past – I am drawing a blank – but it certainly does sound like it.
Apparently Elizabeth and the Warren campaign see this the way I do – that he wasn’t being sexist but calling out sexism – and are doing everything they can to get the press to STFU about it.
Bloomberg’s ads are competently done, but talk about overkill!

CNN: They shouldn’t attack each other, it hurts the conversation(s) and makes it look bad. If Bernie had said that, he owes Ms. Warren an apology. Attack the Impotus in the WH, if one wants to attack someone. Yes, I’ve noticed that CNN is sharing both sides….when the H did that happen?

New Yorker: Wow, Dorrinson really gets around. Bloomberg’s reasons for entering the campaign escape me, unless he is just doing it for giggles, in order to bust Dumpy’s sorry ass.
CNN: Liz is still my choice, but the last thing the Dems need to do is factionalize!

CNN: This is exactly what was feared with so many Democratic candidates, the most likely/best candidates are now attacking each other which will favour Biden even more. It looks like Bernie has to resort to white-old-men tactics to make a dent in Liz’s campaign, this could be to him, but JD has a point, it may be closer to the truth than Americans would like to admit to.
