It’s a lazy day, here in the CatBox. Store to Door called mid-nap to deliver groceries, yesterday. I woke up last night because of the high humidity, and could not get back to sleep. Tomorrow and Sunday are High Holy Days in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb, the Festival of Divisional Resolution. May the Orb shine its Holy light on your team. TGIF!

From Alternet: The New York City Bar Association has taken the extraordinary step of asking Congress to investigate Attorney General Bill Barr for being too politically biased to faithfully execute his duties as America’s top law enforcement official.
Bloomberg reports that the Bar Association is claiming that Barr’s recent statements and actions indicate that he may be enabling and encouraging “political partisans willing to use the levers of government to empower certain groups over others.”
The association also accuses Barr of disregarding “fundamental obligations in several public statements during the past few months,” including his duty to “act impartially, to avoid even the appearance of partiality and impropriety, and to avoid manifesting bias, prejudice or partisanship in the exercise of official responsibilities.”
Nothing like this has ever happened before. However, there has never been an AG as worthy of disbarrfment as Barrf! RESIST!!

AlterNet – in case anyone is wondering why they don’t just disbar him, it’s not that simple. And i may have some details wrong. But, in the first place, the NYC BA is different from the NY State BA, and, in any case, neither handles licensing lawyers in New York – the state does that (Apparently most states let the State Bar Association handle licensing for them. I’m pretty sure Colorado doesn’t, but that just makes us an anomaly along with New York.) Second place, Barr is not licensed in New York anyway. He’s licensed in DC and in Virginia. But anyone can make a request to Congress (and if you are a Bar Association, they may well consider it.)
MSNBC – I’m sure you are right about where he got the “409.” I’m also sure that as an employer he never, ever, ever offered a 401(k) to any of his employees.
Past – Looks like we are now in the seventies. I remember even less pop from them than I do from the sixties.

Alternet: Wow, this is really major, a motion of no confidence by Barrf’s peers. This has gotten little or no attention in news abroad. That may be because it’s largely symbolic. Asking this Congress to investigate it may lead to a positive reaction from an appropriate House committee, but never one from the Senate for obvious reasons. Nice gesture though.
MSNBC: Oh well, Trump may have a little future left after impeachment as a comedian. One who’s always unintentionally hilarious.

Nameless–one of my new cards coincided with a vendor adopting a new billing system–took 9 months for them to be able to bill my credit card again.
