It’s another tired/busy day, here in the CatBox. WWWendy was stuck in a traffic jam on the freeway last night, so she arrived late, I ate late, and I got to bed late. It’s a grocery delivery day from Store to Door, so I have to put them away. I hope they come in the Noon to 1:00 range, instead of mid afternoon, but I never know. I’m queasy every day, but I held lunch, supper and breakfast down. I hope your day is full of love and resistance against the Republican Reich.

From The New Yorker: Donald J. Trump is “incredibly angry” at Iran for taking the American people’s attention away from his impeachment for only about two days, Trump told reporters on Wednesday.
“When I did that drone strike, I was under the impression that it would knock impeachment out of the news for at least a month,” a visibly enraged Trump said. “Instead, it’s Wednesday and we’re back to this Pelosi garbage.”
Trump said that he had hoped that Iranians would react to his provocation in a way that might have forced Democrats to forget about impeaching him altogether, but “all I got for my trouble was a chickenshit couple of days.”
“Honestly, Iran reacted like it was Belgium or something,” Trump said.

From NY Times: Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, whose health has become a preoccupation of the American public as the Supreme Court hews rightward under President Trump, announced this week that she was cancer-free.
Justice Ginsburg, 86, one of four liberal justices on the nine-member court, told CNN in a wide-ranging interview on Tuesday that treatment for a malignant tumor on her pancreas had been successful.

I missed Rick Steves’ “The Story of Fascism” last month (antenna problems), but I found it on Passport yesterday. Passport is not free; you get it by joining PBS as a contributing member – and then it’s free. I needed a little guidance toget in, but since I still have some membership time remaining from donating my dead vehicle last year, I persevered, and am glad I did. I’d rather give money to PBS than to a cable company for sure.
But his show on Iran is on YouTube and with closed captions, and that is absolutely free to anyone with InterNet access.

TNY: This is as real as it gets. It doesn’t take much to outsmart Trump and apparently even the heavily provoked Iranians could keep their temper in check unlike our least favourite two-year-old. I wonder how much sedation WH aids had to give Trump after he came down from going ballistic after the targeted Iranian response. After delaying the press conference they had a whole night to let him vent his frustration and then hit him with the sedative.

MSNBC: The WH got the message; there’s nothing to convince others with that Soleimani’s execution was necessary because of the imminent threat he posed on the national security of the US. Not even the vice liar is willing to get caught up in that and will not make a tour to support Trump on this utterly idiotic and transparent decision. Pence wants to keep his hands clean for now, perhaps thinking that he can take over should Trump be impeached after another one of those demented blunders. To prevent that from happening too soon, WH aids keep Trump safely at “home” or one of his resorts.
BFTP: Loved both the old Fleetwood Mac (with Peter Green) and its Fenix. Every number on Rumours is quality music.
