It sounds to me like it may be time for another Article of Impeachment against Fuhrer Trump* and criminal charges against the other Republicans involved. RESIST!!
From Common Dreams: Reproductive rights advocates on Thursday seized on an amicus brief signed by more than 200 members of Congress, including two conservative Democrats, asking the U.S. Supreme Court to consider overturning Roe vs. Wade as the latest example of the assault on women’s freedom.
The brief was signed by 168 members of the House and 39 senators. Two House Democrats joined their Republican colleagues, led by House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) in the effort—Reps. Collin Peterson (D-Minn.) and Dan Lipinski (D-Ill.).
Lipinski drew the ire of progressive Democrat Marie Newman, who is challenging him in the 2020 primary.
“His position in Congress jeopardizes the health of women in IL-03 and across the country,” Newman tweeted. “My opponent does not trust women and is not fit to represent us.”
I trust I speak for all of us at Politics Plus in endorsing Marie Newmann and any progressive challenging Collin Peterson in the primary. Damn DINOs! RESIST!!

Not really a fair exchange, since their leader was “well-loved” according to news sources. But maybe we shouldn’t tell them it’s not fair.

Cartoon – She also wasn’t born when we did that. We really couldn’t have known. And there are some decent people there. Not enough, but some.
MSNBC – Someone in a comment on Raw Story pointed out that, if a MLB player declines to take a drug test, they are presumed to have tested positive. Perhaps even a MAGAT might (I say might, not would) understand that.
Common Dreams – This is far from the first time Lipinski’s name has come up in some shameful way. We ALMOST beat him in the last primary – IL 3rd district – it’s close to time to try again, harder. Peterson’s name I don’t recognize, but I’m sure the folks at Emily’s list do. They are backing, besides Marie Newman against Lipinski, also (IIRC) Angie Craig against Peterson. (I assume everyone is aware there is no “Emily”? It’s an acronym for “Early Money Is Like Yeast.”)
Past – Don’t recall this one. There were a lot that I missed, for one reason or another.
‘Toon: What had once seemed like a very nice thing, became a breeding ground for RWNJ’s (I got it.) This can be seen as one bit of evidence for the concept of unintended consequences popping up any old time.
MSNBC: Agreed, but do not expect to see it happening. A new impeachment article would play into his “Witch Hunt” and “You are just upset that I beat your lady” claim.

MSNBC: An important conclusion from these new revelations was that the cover-up of actions related to Trump’s impeachment was still continuing two weeks ago. I hope that Trumps provoking a war with Iran will not interfere with further excellent investigative journalism and new facts supporting Trump’s impeachment will continue to be uncovered.
By the way, the video clip mentioned that Senator Susan Collins from Maine has now noted that she was open to discussing an impeachment trial, exactly as li’ll ol’ me alt the way down in Oz has predicted last week, I think. Predictable? Naaaahhhhh 🤣🤣🤣
CD: Both Collin Peterson and Dan Lipinski need to be replaced in the House a.s.a.p., preferably by women. But how much damage has this disgusting letter already done as one of those things Republicans do when nobody is looking, their attention drawn away by Trump’s demented antics?
BFTP: White Room (and In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (Iron Butterfly) and Samba Pa Ti (Santana) mixed in with If You Leave Me Now (Chicago) and Bohemian Rapsody (Queen)) is what got us through those long summer-night parties in my first years in uni, cycling to my room around 5 am, waving to early tradesmen going to work. Innocent late flower-power of those born a just few years too late for the 60s.
