It’s a busy day here in the CatBox. I had to complete and send my week’s grocery order to Store to Door. I had to schedule my ride to the Hospital next Tuesday with TriMet Lift. I prepared the Fantasy Football Alert. I made a BIG pot of chili to use against that Sdang sasquatch as revenge. I’m kind of pooped!

From Vox: The United Kingdom will vote on December 12, and the country’s unfinalized divorce with the European Union looms over it all.
These are the Brexit elections. Even if many wish they weren’t.
Whoever wins the election will ultimately determine whether the United Kingdom leaves the European Union early next year — and, if it does, they’ll likely be determining what that future relationship might look like.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Conservative Party have vowed that if they reclaim their majority in Parliament, they will “get Brexit done” by quickly passing the prime minister’s Brexit deal and moving to negotiate a free-trade agreement with the EU by the end of 2020.
Labour, the opposition party led by Jeremy Corbyn, is instead proposing to renegotiate the Brexit deal, and then put it back to the British people for a final vote on whether they want to leave the EU on those terms — or just remain in the EU after all…
From what I understand Corbyn and Labour have almost as good a chance as there is for Trump to last a day without lying. Nevertheless, I hope they win, so the UK no longer challenges the US world record for electoral idiocy. RESIST!!

I’ve heard of “revenge porn,” but “revenge chili” is a new one on me.
This is just too sweet not to share.
Cartoon – I was alive … but only 3, so I don’t remember it ab initio. And after all this time … that there are still people who don’t get it …
Rachel – Did anyone expect anything else from Barr? “Under normal circumstances” -yeah. When was the last time circumstances for normal. Mid-2016? Or even earlier?
Vox – Well, that is the way it should have been done in the first place – set up a tentative deal first, and only then vote Yea or Nay. It is a triumph of grifters selling ignorance that the British people voted Yea in the first place on something that was – as the very old saying goes – a pig in a poke.
Past – one I don’t remember at all.

Vox: Apparently there are so many Britts that are still on the fence or keep changing their minds that it is impossible to predict what’s going to happen. Most likely neither Tories nor Labour will have a majority and will have to form a coalition cabinet. Boris will then certainly team-up with Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party, his old buddy together with whom he managed to have the mainly Englis vote for a Brexit at the referendum, and then have the UK economy collapse, setting in a global economic crisis which is already looming because of Trump and his cronies.
I really hope I’m the worst predictor of all times.
