It’s a busy day here in the CatBox. I’m trying to get my biopsy scheduled. It turns out they won’t let me go home unescorted, so we’ll need to do it at a time WWWendy can pick me up and take me home. Speaking of WWWendy, she’ll be here this evening, and a certain TomCat is VERY stinky. I’ll have my new keyboard this evening. The workaround for the damaged one is driving me nuts. MSNBC: Nunes might as well as have said that “We have heard many republicans claiming that Donald Trump had nothing, whatsoever, to do with the unseating of Salvatore Allende! Yeah? And do you want fries with that? What fucking horse shit! “Residue?” A piece of the “residue” will be how much of a total toad Nunes was, what will be “back then.”
I’m now reading a book entitled “Understanding Ignorance- The Surprising Impact of what We Don’t Know,” by Prof. Daniel R. DeNicola, of Gettysburg College. I’m only on page 17, but he has already pointed to how “This culture (of ignorance) discounts the value and authority of expertise in favor of shared opinion.” And this is just what Trump, Nunes, Faux News, and others are fueling. They are working, assiduously, to create opinion that serves only their agenda, the devil take the idea of a “credible concept of objectivity.” This fits in with the ridiculous idea of “The right to believe,” which so many fools apparently believe in. Oh, yes, including the “right to believe” that Trump, and/or Jair Bolsonaro, of Brazil, were sent by god, depending on which country you live in.
“No one will freaking believe…” this consummate scumbag, I’ll give him those laurels, has enraptured the GOPIGGIES to such an extent that they are, almost literally, living in an alternate universe. Sadly, they are taking some of our fellow citizens along for the ride.
CNN: I’m sitting here with tears in my eyes, having heard Vindman say this for the first time. The applause was sooo called for! “Right matters,” just as a “credible concept of reality,” leads the way to what is right.
Cowsills: Another Cowslip surprise for me. I love that song. I also noted that there must be someone else, off screen playing the drums. The percussion was not coming from only the kid on the bongos.

I had the same thing happen to my keyboard a couple of months ago. I was using character map. Fortunately it didn’t take long to get the replacement. I know how glad you’ll be to get it!

Cartoon – They are all war criminals along with everything else yes. But we’ll never nail them on that. I’ll settle for everything else – but that I do demand. I’m not as fine a person as Ilhan Omar.

CNN – I’m glad that decent people are doing their best to give good people the appreciation that they deserve. Right does matter. May it matter enough to enough people.

MSNBC: I’m sure Trump was cautioned about the positive effects his pressure on Ukraine would have. Wasn’t that the whole idea when Putin whispered his advice in Trump’s ear? The quid pro quo for the advice was dirt on Biden and winning the next election.
CNN: Vindman deserves all respect and that applause was the least Americans could do to show their gratitude for his sacrifice. Because sacrifice it is. He’s already been relocated and his career will only go downhill from here if Trump has anything to tweet about it, but that may be the least of his problems.
BFTP: I do remember it but it was then, a now, what the Dutch call a “niemendalletje”, a trifle, from a mayfly band. It is very happy, though, and that’s all that counts, isn’t it.

MSNBC — How much will it take for Republicans to acknowledge and accept that Putin is behind all this division and bullshit. Has the public already forgotten Trump’s antics at Helsinki or the other maneuvers between Trump and Putin? Will the US become the United States of Russia? In defending Trump blindly, it is becoming closer and closer to a reality, . . . and the whole is watching and laughing at the US and particularly Trump. Other countries have already uncovered Russian interference or attempted interference in their elections. Why do Republicans insist on changing the narrative from Russia to Ukraine? Two reasons: POWER and MONEY.
CNN — Vindman: “… and here right matters.” . . . unless of course you are Donald Trump and then it is power and money that matter. I agree with you, Vindman is a true US patriot and hero.
