It’s a strange, chilly, muggy day here in the CatBox. The temperature is 38° with 98% humidity. We have a freeze warning coming tonight. This is October, not January! From NPR: Turkish forces began crossing the Syrian border on Wednesday, launching an operation in Kurdish-dominated areas of the country’s north, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced.
The Turkish offensive jeopardizes Kurdish-led forces who have been a key U.S. ally in the bloody fight against ISIS. Turkey says those same forces are linked to militant groups who stage attacks in a separatist movement against the Turkish government…
…The Turkish military is working with the Syrian National Army, Erdogan said, adding that they area [sic] targeting Kurdish fighters as well as ISIS extremists.

MMC – Republicans all say “Deep State” like it’s a bad thing. To the extent that “deep state” actually refers to the cadre of career civil servants who keep the nation on an even keel when politicians are rocky, but in fact facilitate legal change by smoothing the rough edges, it is not a bad thing, but a very good think indeed. It is also not responsible for their being an impeachment inquiry. The cause of that would be Orange Judas’s behavior.
MSNBC – It’s nauseating to thing that, based on comments made by justices so far, the best bet for a break in the five could be Gorsuch.
NPR – I can’t help but wonder where the outrage is.

Agree with Pat about your weather being crazy. We dropped down to the low 70’s today, after it had been in the 90’s for three days. Tomorrow, they are warning us that the Santa Ana winds will be back for about four days. The electric companies are warning we might have power outages due to these winds and the chance of fires. Pray that we don’t have any fires in California. We’ve had our share of them.

It’s absolutely unconscionable the way Trump has turned on the Kurds – our loyal and solid ally against ISIS.
I hope America will not require the support of any of our past allies , because seeing how Trump has thrown the Kurds more than under the bus, but to a possible genocide – I doubt any of them will be willing to stand by our side. (And who’s to blame them? Would YOU trust Trump?)
Trump has done more to destroy our country than anything, save for the Civil War.

MM: Couldn’t listen to more than 30 seconds. I’m glad I read Daily Kos first which a post on Faux News reporting their own poll showed that 51% wanted Trump impeached and removed from office and 4% wanted him impeached only.
Unless this is a hoax, this is rather promising, don’t you think?
MSNBC: It’s clear that SCOTUS hasn’t taken this on to do nothing; we can just wait for the next regressive step back into the middle ages for America.
NPR: According to Trump it’s the Kurds’ own fault, forget about the 6000 Kurds dead in the battles with Da’esh, they should have helped America in WWII. Excuse me while I go empty my stomach.
MMC: The deepest state is up Hannity’s ass…where his brain lives.
MSNBC: Ssusan collins need to be brought to account for her Kavanazi vote. He will be consistently a dick!
