0925impeach2

I never thought I’d see the day.  Finally, at long last, Nancy Pelosi has declared a formal inquiry to impeach the Resident of the United States, White House usurper, Donald Trump.  I’ll be watching for more developments.

0925impeach

Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced on Tuesday that the House would initiate a formal impeachment inquiry against President Trump, charging him with betraying his oath of office and the nation’s security by seeking to enlist a foreign power to tarnish a rival for his own political gain.

Ms. Pelosi’s declaration, after months of reticence by Democrats who had feared the political consequences of impeaching a president many of them long ago concluded was unfit for office, was a stunning turn that set the stage for a history-making and exceedingly bitter confrontation between the Democrat-led House and a defiant president who has thumbed his nose at institutional norms.

“The actions taken to date by the president have seriously violated the Constitution,” Ms. Pelosi said in a brief speech invoking the nation’s founding principles. Mr. Trump, she added, “must be held accountable — no one is above the law.”

She said the president’s conduct revealed his “betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of our national security and betrayal of the integrity of our elections.”…  [emphasis added]

House Dems Pushed Toward Impeachment: “We Couldn’t Stand On The Sidelines”

I think the next Republican stall will be to claim this is not a legitimate impeachment inquiry, because the House has not voted on it.  If the courts agree, we must hold that vote immediately.

This just in:  To read the transcript, click here.  Lindsey Poo says it’s exculpatory.  Lindsey Poo has his head up Trump’s ass!  It’s damning as hell!

  1. If a vote in the House is needed, then there is no reason to wait until some court has commented on the lack thereof!  Hold the damned vote, soon!
Was Nancy waiting for this “gift” from Donny Boy?  Is he, indeed, that ridiculously predictable, that she “knew” he would blow the lid off his own administration, sooner or later?  Sooner than later?  Whatever. IMPEACH THE BASTARD NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
Donny’s utter stupidity was so evident in his talking abut the “perfect” phone call with the Ukrainian president; in gifting us with his saying that he had, essentially, blackmailed the fellow.  this was the 2nd dumbest thing he’s ever done, 2nd only to running for the presidential office, in the first place…because, for him, it’s all been downhill from there.  No more ghost writers are going to polish his shit!

    • As I type, there are 200 votes for.  218 are needed.  But the vote of the full house is not needed.  All that is needed is a vote in committee, and we have that.  We have had that fpr a couple of weeks now.

  2. Just read the transcript, and if the R’s feel that this isn’t good enough impeachment inquiry, then the House should hold a vote to make it so.
Boy…what lengths they will do, and are doing to cover this id’s tracks is unbelievable! Do they even know how silly they sound?

Here’s another one: Trump White House accidentally sends talking points to Democrats – then demands the email be ‘recalled’

  3. The memo released by the Trump Conspirators shows explicit Quid Pro Quo via bribery and extortion.

  4. About friggin’ time! I’m glad that Pelosi finally got her head out of her arse. The trick now is to get enough members of the Senate in – and since enough of them have (R) after their names that party loyalty could make them prevent impeachment proceedings from getting through the Senate, we’ll have to lean on the ones who are vulnerable and hope that they’ll put saving their political butts ahead of kissing elephant butt.

  5. Watched both live breaking news today and was stunned the way tRump tried to downplay the whole situation.
He made me laugh at all that the great things he had been doing the past week. Crying that the press was ignoring his visit last week.
He’s gotten himself into a huge mess now.
Hopefully this is it and humpty tRunpy will finally fall off his stinkin wall.

  6. It’s about time, isn’t it? Compared to all the impeachable things Trump has loudly put his name too, this particular ‘offence’ seems rather banal. But who cares as long as it gets results. Getting Trump impeached is paramount!

  7. Thanks and hugs to all. 35

I’d be conflicted if the Senate did convict.  Pence is every bit as evil as, if not more evil than, Trump.  He’s just a lot sneakier.  Furthermore, he’d pardon Trump!

  8. Well, treason is so narrowly defined as to make it difficult to prove, and “high crimes and misdemeanors” are whatever the House says they are, but the Senate can always respond “Nanny nanny boo boo!” to them.  Bribery is the one impeachable offence specified in the Constitution which [a[ we all know what it is and [b] he has admitted to the act.
