I had a black cat for years, she was so sweet! Happy Friday!!
Terrified of Friday the 13th? You might suffer from paraskevidekatriaphobia or friggatriskaidekaphobia, both mean ‘fear of Friday the 13th’. Triskaidekaphobia is ‘fear of the number 13’.
I should probably read that list of “Things you shouldn’t do on Friday the 13th,” just so I could run out and do them all. But, as ornery as I am, I’m far more exhausted from the long day so for, so I’ll pass – this time.
Over time I had 5 black cats adopting me and I loved them all dearly, just like I loved all of them. Cats are not aware of fur colour, it doesn’t matter one bit to them. We could learn from them.
My Friday the 13th has already passed. Best wishes to all who are superstitious and have some of the day left.
I’m not superstitious. Tell people that a certain day is unlucky, and they’re more likely to remember bad things that happened to them on that day. If you told people from when they were tiny that Wednesday the 17th is an unlucky day, we’d all live in fear of that combination.
Actually, a lot of good things have happened on Friday the 13th:
Alfred Dreyfus was exonerated, and resumed his military duty.
Evelyn Kilgore became the first ever female flight instructor.
Malta became a republic.
The Axis occupation of Greece ended.
President Lyndon Johnson signed an executive order to stop gender discrimination in the government.
NASA announced the discovery of water on the Moon.
Henry Schoolcraft found the source of the Mississippi River.
People born on Friday the 13th include Alfred Hitchcock, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Kate Walsh, Steve Buscemi, Darius Rucker, Kat Dennings, Christopher Plummer, and the late Peter Tork.
13 is just a number that comes after twelve and before fourteen! Friday is the beginning of the weekend . . . well at least Friday evening is. Friday the 13th is what you make it out to be.
And black cats? If it is a cat, no matter the colour, it is all good!
Lona: “Cats are not aware of fur colour, it doesn’t matter one bit to them. We could learn from them.” — AMEN!!!

BTW, that graphic could be my Primo.
I’m not superstitious either.
Under ladder Hugs!
My Friday the 13th, replete with full moon rising beautifully on our drive home from a day out with friends, went marvelously well.
