It’s a very tired day here in the CatBox, and I’m bleary-eyed.  Store to Door changed my route schedule without telling me.  Instead of the usual Noon, my new driver did not come until 2:30, and I did not go down for my nap until 3:30, so I missed 2 1/2 hours of my four hour nap.  I was in my wheelchair so long that my ass has pressure sores, and my back is killing me.  TGIF Hugs!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:02 (average 5:41).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): Team Trump Rolls Out Attacks On 2020 Dems After Town Hall On Climate Change

I saw a few minutes of that, and I bet the Republican Reich is exaggerating. RESIST!!

From Politico: Four states are poised to cancel their 2020 GOP presidential primaries and caucuses, a move that would cut off oxygen to Donald Trump’s long-shot primary challengers.

Republican parties in South Carolina, Nevada, Arizona and Kansas are expected to finalize the cancellations in meetings this weekend, according to three GOP officials who are familiar with the plans.

The moves are the latest illustration of Trump’s takeover of the entire Republican Party apparatus. They underscore the extent to which his allies are determined to snuff out any potential nuisance en route to his renomination — or even to deny Republican critics a platform to embarrass him.

Heil Fuhrer!! RESIST!!

From Alternet: When well-known former Republicans start goading Mitch McConnell with the moniker that clearly has him enraged, you know Moscow Mitch’s cover is blown. For years he’s been able to keep sliding under the radar, undermining the Senate, flouting the norms and traditions that kept the institution a functioning body, while the wider world paid little attention.

But that’s changed. His enthusiastic enabling of this worst, most dangerous president is one thing that’s breaking his protective shell. So is his refusal to protect the nation from enemy interference in our elections. But his disregard for human life is the last straw for a lot of people. That includes well-known former Republicans like David Weissman, who used to support McConnell, as well as Trump. In an open letter to Moscow Mitch published Wednesday in The Times of Israel, Weissman told him “if you don’t like this nickname, do your job.”

“You are failing the people that elected you to act as Senator, but instead you act as [a] Russian puppet,” Weissman wrote. “You have also blocked bipartisan bills that would protect elections in our country. This gives Russia more opportunities to interfere in our elections.” He writes to McConnell that he is “single-handedly putting our democracy at risk,” and “This is why the people are calling you Moscow Mitch.”

Click through for the rest. I love it when people tear Bought Bitch Moscow Mitch a new asshole.  RESIST!!

Vote Blue!!

  1. 5:13 It really doesn’t get much easier than this … which shows me how much a recalcitrant mouse can bog one down.

Cartoon – Well, it’s way too late to wish they hadn’t. As the saying goes, that ship has sailed.

MSNBC – Well, “exaggerating” is one word for it. (There are so many ways to say “bull shit.”) Just one thing – Bernie saying “many” taxpayers will be paying more – yeah, some will, but they will be in the top 10%.

Politico – When I think how many people lost their s**t in 2016 over the thought that the DNC was “rigging the primaries” (like that was even possible!) … and some have never recovered it … This is not the RNC either, this is individual states whose party apparatus is engaging in using their prerogatives. Seriously, though, does anyone really believe that any kind of primary challenge can hurt Trump? Now, what might hurt him is Justin Amash running as a Libertarian in the general. I have actually seen in prior elections votes siphoned off to a Libertarian when the Republican nominee was not crazy enough.

AlterNet – Yes. This is a very good thing. When former supporters of #MoscowMitch (or whoever) finally get to the point where their eyes begin to open, that’s likely to signal an actual turning of the tide in our favor. May it be so.

  2. Cartoon: If it hadn’t been for the Indians helping the pilgrims those first few winters, they wouldn’t have survived..imho
MSNBC: We have a few months to listen to our candidates, but no matter who…VOTE BLUE !!!
Politico: Gulp!! Not good at all.
AN: I sure do hope that Amy beats Moscow Mitch handily, he needs to go. You said/wrote it better though, Tom.) lol

Hope that Store to Door comes earlier for you, so that you can get your nap in. I see that the Packers won last night, we didn’t want the whole game though. Hope that you have a good rest of your day, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

    2. “Republicans abandon elephant as mascot. Adopt crickets to best symbolize their collective silence over Trump”.  ~ Bill C. ~
    3. “I mean…don’t get me wrong, I’m impressed that Trump can locate Alabama on a map!” ~ Mary C. ~

  3. Thank you for sharing your news and articles Tom Cat.😺😾❣️

  4. WRT the distortions & snippets taken out of context covered in the GOP YouTube video, the Comments (per usual) are entertaining.

One of the early ones by a Dem:

“It’s like I always say, the lies and distortions only work on idiots. Sadly, we have a lot of idiots.”

And the to prove the point, the Rethuglicans chime right in w/ gems like these:

“If America is to remain a free country none of these should be aloud [sic] to be elected”

“The Clown show. Communist convention. Garbage they have no chance. They cut there [sic] own throat [sic] now. Trump wins easy [sic]. Controll [sic] controll [sic] thats [sic] all they want.”

  5. Now we must ask: Which is Putins favorite widdle puppet, Cheat-oh or Bitch Mitch?

  6. Cartoon: They were Lucky that the Indians helped.
MSNBC: I can’t wait till it comes time to vote. We need to get tRump OUT.
    Poliitico: Insane.
AN: I also hope that Amy beats mItch the bi*ch. Our country has suffered enough of him, just like his leader.
Hope you had a better rest of your day. My day was long thanks to so many appointments. That’s why I’m so late tonight. Thanks goodness the weekend finally here.
    Take care.
    Thanks TC

  7. 4:12 Late in the day all windows look alike.

MSNBC: I haven’t followed any of the Democratic debates, but I know enough about progressive candidates and about the GOP to see that this attack is nothing but one distortion after another, not fooling any Democrats but right up Trump-voters alley. To the comment made, with glee, by the Hoover-Institution guy that points made by candidates in the primaries will stick with them during the election campaigns, I only have to say this: I sure hope they do!

Politico: Ouroboros. The serpent is starting to eat its own tail in the eternal cycle of destruction and re-creation. Let’s help the recreation become a positive blue one.

AN: Admittedly David Weissman is a Republican or was one, but Kudos to him nevertheless.

Sorry to hear about your sleeping problems and long hours sitting in your wheelchair., TomCat.

  8. MSNBC — “I bet the Republican Reich is exaggerating.”?  I know the Republican Reich is exaggerating, distorting, taking comments out of context, highlighting only parts of comments — they do it ALL the time!

Politico — Where have I heard that before?  Oh yeah, 14 July 1933 when Hitler outlawed all other political parties so there was no competition.  At 2000 hours this evening in Moscow, Moscow’s special police raided the offices of Alexei Navalny, a Putin critic and opposition politician — Putin kills off his opposition.  The current administration and the Republican Reich sure look like fascists to me.

AlterNet — What has taken this guy so long?  Better late than never and he is going to help Amy McGrath kick Moscow Mitch to the curb!  Now less find those other disaffected Republicans willing to stand up and denounce the way things have been under Moscow Mitch and Trump.

Cartoon — Too bad it did not make a U turn!  The indigenous peoples would have been very happy.

  9. Thanks and Pooped Hugs to all. 26
