From Washington Post: The Environmental Protection Agency is set to announce Thursday that it will loosen federal rules on methane, a powerful greenhouse gas linked to climate change, according to two senior administration officials.
The proposed rule will reverse standards enacted under former president Barack Obama that require oil and gas operations to install controls on their operations to curb the release of methane at the well head and in their transmission equipment, including pipelines, processing and storage facilities.
And here is the greatest source of methane in the US

MSNBC – And of course, his having already pardoned Arpaio and that psychopathic murdering Navy Seal, this is a promise that may very well ring true. Yup. I note that an impeachment investigation IS open in the Judiciary Committee. This new development might be considered there, or it might better be considered by Oversight. It didn’t kill us to open an investigation, and it wouldn’t kill us to open another, or several others. It would be nice if more people realized that one is already open. Of course they won’t hear that on Fox.
Sam – These are handy to have to show anyone we can get to sit still to watch them.
WaPo – There’s a lot of competition for the title of “greatest source of methane in the United States.” #MoscowMitch is definitely a high contender. But Devin Nunes’s Cow deserves a chance to be heard.

Housekeeping Note:
No “Friday Fun” tomorrow. I’ll be spending my morning at the Wound Care Clinic … again.
Yesterday the wound took a turn for the worse in appearance, so they switched from Hydroferra Blue to NuGauze Packing w/ Iodosorb.
(They use a lidocaine gel to numb it up when they explore and pack the wound. I’m going to ask if I can have some, because packing the wound has NOT been the highlight of this process – which is now over a month-long!)
But in 24 hours it’s wept through the multi-layer dressings … again.
And it’s sore, which it hasn’t been in a long time. I’ll look at this evening when I take my shower, and change the dressings.
Nameless, I’m so sorry to hear that! Yes, by all means stock up on the lidocaine as muchuch as you can. I got stung by a wasp-like insect almost three weeks ago (so tiny I didn’t see him, but I surely felt him) and lidocaine (OTC strength) is the only thing that got me through.
