I slept a little better last night. I’ll be leaving for my appointment with my friend in about 90 min. It will be mostly social, but it’s mice to get away from the CatBox for a few hours, even if it is shiny and new. This is my only article today.

Bush White House which were not part of Kavanaugh’s Senate confirmation process last year.
“This is big,” Brian Fallon, executive director of the advocacy group Demand Justice, tweeted Tuesday. In a statement, he added that “this is a critical first step in conducting the real investigation of Brett Kavanaugh that Senate Republicans prevented from happening.”
Despite credible allegations of past sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh and concerns about how the judge’s far-right views on various issues could shape the country’s future laws, he was narrowly confirmed to the high court by the Republican-held Senate in October, following what critics called a “sham confirmation process.”

An addition to the “rugged individual” myth: Those who perpetuate that fairy tale forget how much we depend on others. We need other people to build and maintain infrastructure, to make sure our water is potable, to create and sell to us goods and services, to protect our homes and our health – and so on, and so on.
