Considering that yesterday was a “day of rest”, I managed to work my ass off. I changed my ID address and voting registration. I filed an address change with USPS. I purchased bathroom grab bars and cookware. I notified everyone that needed to know, and I set up my cable service to be installed on Friday,m 8/2. I’m sure hectic will continue to be the case for the next couple weeks. TGIF Hugs!
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Today’s took me 3:07 (average 4:19). To do it, click here. How did you do?
Short Takes:
From YouTube (NBC News Channel): Elizabeth Warren Keep Her Eyes On Iowa
Warren has been accused of having so many plans that she overloads voters. That would be true, if she ran on them alone, but she uses them strategically, fitting them to what voters desire. She waits for a voter to express a need or want. Then, instead of just making campaign promises, she explains how a specific plan is the solution. That reassures voters. RESIST!!
From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): President Donald Trump Campaign Hush Money Scam Appears To Have Worked
For all our humor about small hands and small peckers, Putin’s Pee Pervert had a bigger Pecker than we thought. Why are others stupid enough to take the fall for him? What do we do? We have two choices. Impeach or ignore? RESIST!!
From NY Times: President Trump said [Fuhrer delinked] Thursday that he would name Eugene Scalia as his next secretary of labor, tapping the longtime labor lawyer and son of the former Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia for a position with vast responsibility over the American work force.
The appointment is likely to be contested by Democrats and labor unions because Mr. Scalia has a long record of representing Walmart and other companies that pushed back against unions and tougher labor laws. He was a top lawyer for the Labor Department in the George W. Bush administration and is currently a partner in the Washington office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, a prominent corporate law firm.
Eugene Scalia is a perfect example of why Republicans should not be allowed to reproduce. Don’t litter! Spay or neuter your Republican! RESIST!!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Warren: She continues to impress!
Rachel: So, maybe Dumpy did not know “…that this was illegal?” He’s the damned puppeteer behind the scenes, he writes the script for the others, just like a Mafia Don! And he did not know it was illegal, horse pooh!
NYT: Straight from the list of people with “No socially redeeming qualities!” Next, he;ll have him replace Pence as VP candidate.
NBC: You GO, Ms. Warren!! btw…She’s got a plan, and can beat dt too! We sure do need that!
Rachel: He’s (dt) crooked, sneaky, and evil. Id needs to be in jail from his ‘intent’ to covering this up. Cohen is in prison, I hope dt goes down, and to prison too.
NYT: Another one? Good grief!! This is horrible news!
Cartoon: Oh, but of course!
Yes, sounds like you had a very busy day! Lots to do, and your list w/get longer too, I’m sure. Hope that you get a nap in, here & there, do take good care, and Thanks, Tom.
*This just in: “Chants of ‘Welcome Home!’ greeted Rep. Ilhan Omar as she returned to MN at the airport. This is the America I love.” ~ Robert Reich ~
2. As Epstein flips, now comes the time dt flips out to save himself ~ “When grand old men, to gallows called..to save the self..becomes the all.” ~ Tom J. ~
A dead conservative Supreme Court justice’s whelp as Secretary of Labor? Aw, c’mon, there ain’t no cronyism or nepotism here. Keep moving along, folks.
NBC: She’s seems to be really stepping on the gas pedal with all of her plans. Hope she stays focused with them all, so she can advance forward. Go Elizabeth, GO.
Rachel: Pure evil and still leading?? We have so much evidence on the creep, he would be put away for life. Wish they’d take steps to start impeaching him NOW.
NYT: Crazy that congress allows these unfit ones to get these positions. They must say NO.
Glad that you are getting all of the important things done before your major move.
5:22 Gotta be careful around stuff that hot.
Link to Mike Issikof’s (and he IS a journalist) podcast on the Seth Rich unfounded conspiracy theories. The first 2 are here and there’s a link there also to the rest. If you only have time for one, make it the second one. It’s VERY revealing.
Liz – Yes, that is what she is doing. I had noticed subconsciously, but not consciously; but, now that you say it, yes, that’s exactly what she’s doing. And, besides being reassuring, it’s also why she is so inspiring, and gets such enthusiasm from her audiences. And that’s also giving me confidence that she can win.
Rachel – I don’t think that we are up to the point when we have only two choices. I think we need more groundwork laid, and I think Dems in Congress are doing that. And then there’s this:
You may think that’s melodramatic, and it may be. But it kind of feels right to me (and some others, not just me and Black Max.)
NYT – Ah, he’s already figured out he can’t keep Pizzella. I’m not sure whether that’s good or not.
Cartoon – Well, of course, no Republican rapist wants there to be any interference … physical or otherwise.
3:19 Too hot for me.
NBC: As the reporter noted, ideology and plans are one thing, but what really matters is whether she can stand up to Trump. And he’s the used-car salesman who gets to sell that lemon with just a few slogans that have nothing to do with reality and are a cover-up for no plans but evil intent. I really wish for Liz to be the next president as she’d do the country a lot of good, but I’m not convinced yet that she can keep Trump from a second term.
MSNBC: Of course it worked, and those FBI papers now open to the public are interesting to Democrats with aan interest in history an Republicans who want some tips from the master how to cover up their own scandals. The Republican base is going to ignore it, just as they’ve ignored or denied anything bad about Trump, and Democrats will have to ignore it too or impeach him, which they have chosen not to do this week. Doesn’t bode well for 2020, does it?
NY: America’s democracy will reach a point when there’s no coming back for decades to come from the damage Trump, his administration and the GOP have done. Next, Trump will start his war with Iran, together with Brexit Britain and idiot-chum Australia. No time for niceties then.
Cartoon: The British would have said: they have no blooming right to wear them.
Thanks and pooped hugs to all.
Puzzle — 5:33 Too hot for me!
NBC — When asked about various things, there is no hesitation when responding “I’ve got a plan for that.” She knows what she wants to do and how she will get there. Everything is well thought out. How I would like to see her debate Trump and lay his bones in the dirt. Of course he’ll try to derail her and it would not surprise me if he called her ‘Pocahontas’ during a debate. He is certainly more than slimy enough to do it.
MSNBC — Impeach or ignore? That is suppose to be a choice? The Republican held Senate would never convict. Even if a bill of impeachment were passed from the House, McTurtle would sit on it until it all exploded. There is a bigger likelihood of rain in Death Valley than of the current Senate trying and convicting Trump. Trump might “hug” the flag but he is no patriot.
NY Times — “Eugene Scalia is a perfect example of why Republicans should not be allowed to reproduce. Don’t litter! Spay or neuter your Republican!” — AMEN!!!
Cartoon — Of course! They were tantamount to a chastity belt with double locks!
